In 1974, there were two sitcoms made their debut on our televisions, and they haven’t left it since.
Over the weekend, cast members from both Good Times and Happy Days made an appearance at Gallatin Comic Con. And we got this photo of Ralph Malph (Donny Most), Michael (Ralph Carter), Thelma (BernNadette Stanis), J.J. (Jimmie Walker), The Fonz (Henry Winkler), and Potsie (Anson Willians).
Even though Chicago and Milwaukee are 90 minutes apart, the shows took place in different decades. And that is why we had to wait 50 years to get a photo like this!
So let’s go celebrate the Good Times and Happy Days they have given us!
I have a feeling that Garry Marshall and Norman Lear are looking down, and verklempt over seeing their six babies as one group!
The other night on Max’s Have I Got News for You, Roy Wood realized that he, Michael Ian Black, Sam Seder, and Alex Edelman are all two degrees of separation from Kevin Bacon with the same actor.
Then, the host wanted to know if they could identify that actor by his crotch. No quicker than that photo went up did Edelman scream out Jon Hamm. He will know that Hamm Sandwich Meat anywhere.
No matter where Edelman goes, that is all anyone will remember him for. He will be doing his standup, and at least one person will heckle him by screaming out, “Jon Hamm.”
He is never going to live it down. And the roasting he got from Amber Ruffin and the others is just a glimpse of his future.
I just hope he continues to blush like that every time someone says the Mad Man’s name. I also want to know what Hamm thought of the comedian knowing his crotch quickly!
Remember when Sex/Life came out on Netflix, and everyone was telling you to go to episode 3 about 19 minutes in? And you were grateful they told you to do it?
What if instead of having to find that episode and scene, they could just send it to you and watch it over and over and over again?
Now, you can. The streaming service added a new feature called Moments.
Here’s how it works: Let’s say you’re watching the latest season of Bridgerton on your phone and want to save the scene where Colin and Penelope share their long-awaited kiss in the carriage. All you have to do is tap Moments at the bottom of your screen, and it’ll automatically save to your My Netflix tab.
You can revisit your Moments anytime on your phone, and if you rewatch the episode or film, it will start playing right from the scene you bookmarked.
And then you can share it on your favorite social media. This is a great thing because you no longer have to find it to share it. You just have to share it!
Which scene have you always wanted to share with your friends and family?
Rock Springfield has been performing in concerts since around 1975. Now that he is 75, he has no plans of slowing down.
And neither does his body. Over the weekend, the singer did one of his jumps during a concert, and that is a move most people who are 3/4 of century can do. Heck, men half his age can barely get out of bed without wincing. And he is jumping several feet up into the air without any problems.
When he started singing Celebrate Youth in ’85, he meant that he will always be celebrating it! And that is what we should all be doing. Something I will be doing after I take my bath with Epsom salt, Tylenol for arthritis, and my mid-morning nap. Oy!
