What did Henry Winkler keep from the Happy Days set?
April 23rd, 2026 under Happy Days, Henry Winkler. [ Comments: none ]

From 1974 to 1984, Henry Winkler played The Fonz on Happy Days. So when the show ended, he wanted a memento from the set.

What did he ask to take home with him? Was it his leather jacket? Nope, that is in the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. What about the motorcycle or the jukebox?

Nope! He told Sheinelle Jones and Willie Geist on Today with Jenna and Sheinelle, “When we would go make an entrance through the swinging doors of Arnold’s, there was a piece of plywood. And I would put my coffee cup down and a bottle of water down, and you would make your entrance. On that piece of wood, I would write down things.”

It would be things like the start of the season. Ron Howard had a redheaded baby girl, and then the actor had one of his own a few months later.

So after they shot the last scene, he asked if he could have it. And they said yes. He still has it. And I am sure he shows those little redheaded girls, who are still friends, that little piece of wood anytime they are both in his house.

Winkler is one of the nicest guys in Hollywood. But there is something that pisses him off. What is it? The statue of Arthur Fonzarelli in Milwaukee is taller than he is. Therefore, he can’t look it in the eye. I think they need to make a new one that is actual size so he can have a staring contest with it!

They are celebrating Good Times and Happy Days.
October 28th, 2024 under Good Times, Happy Days. [ Comments: none ]

In 1974, there were two sitcoms made their debut on our televisions, and they haven’t left it since.

Over the weekend, cast members from both Good Times and Happy Days made an appearance at Gallatin Comic Con. And we got this photo of Ralph Malph (Donny Most), Michael (Ralph Carter), Thelma (BernNadette Stanis), J.J. (Jimmie Walker), The Fonz (Henry Winkler), and Potsie (Anson Willians).

Even though Chicago and Milwaukee are 90 minutes apart, the shows took place in different decades. And that is why we had to wait 50 years to get a photo like this!

So let’s go celebrate the Good Times and Happy Days they have given us!

I have a feeling that Garry Marshall and Norman Lear are looking down, and verklempt over seeing their six babies as one group!

Is Anson Williams really 75?
September 27th, 2024 under Are they really their age?, Happy Days. [ Comments: none ]

On Wednesday, Anson Williams turned the big 7-5. However, you would not know it by looking at Potsie Webber without a shirt.

What is his secret? “A wonderful partner who inspires and believes in me. A partner who fires me up to be better, love better, and to keep climbing to the top of mountains,” he wrote about his happy days. “This year has been the most productive and successful time of my life. I’m hoping that this post and picture inspires all that there is no age limit to a great life with the right soul mate.”

Maybe there is still hope for me! Probably not, but it gives me hope. Does it give you hope too?

Back in the ’70s, girls were watching The Brady Bunch and Happy Days. However, they never saw Greg Brady and Ralph Malpph together, much to their disappointment.

That was then. Recently, Barry Williams and Donny Most got together, and we got to hear two teenage heartthrobs sing the Happy Days theme song together.

And now all of those groovy girls are having happy days!!!

A mini-Happy Days reunion
March 11th, 2024 under Happy Days, Henry Winkler. [ Comments: none ]

While most of Hollywood was in Hollywood yesterday for the Oscars, Some of the Happy Days stars were in Kansas City at Planetcon.

Henry Winkler, Donny Most, and Anson Williams drew a large audience, even though their show debuted 50 years ago.

Proving great TV is timeless, even when the show takes place in a different era than the time it was being filmed.
