Before Paul Rudd was the Marvel superhero Ant-Man, he took on Michael Meyers in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers. Shockingly, he looks the same now as he did when he was 25 in that 1995 movie.
Dick Wolf owns Tuesdays on CBS and Wednesdays and Thursdays on NBC. However, that was not enough for him. So, he is now expanding to Prime Video with On Call.
On Call is an adrenalized and visceral police drama that follows a rookie and veteran officer duo as they go on patrol in Long Beach, California. Shot with a mixture of hand-held cameras, bodycam and dash-cam footage to create a cinema verité effect, the innovative series explores the morality of protecting and serving a community.
The series stars Troian Bellisario (Pretty Little Liars) as hard-charging but protective veteran officer “Traci Harmon,” who struggles to find her place in the department while training the next generation of officers. Brandon Larracuente (The Good Doctor) stars as “Alex Diaz,” an ambitious rookie who grapples with holding onto his optimistic outlook as he realizes the challenges he’ll face in today’s climate.
I have a feeling this will be the first of many Wolf Entertainment series on Prime Video.
All eight episodes start streaming on January 9th.

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage has been such a huge success for CBS that the network is not waiting to pick it up for a full season. So that is what they did today with the Young Sheldon spinoff, which was a prequel to The Big Bang Theory.
“With the resounding success of THE BIG BANG THEORY and YOUNG SHELDON, we were instantly on board when Chuck [Lorre], Steven [Molaro], and Steve [Holland] brought us the idea to further explore this world through GEORGIE & MANDY’S FIRST MARRIAGE,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. “The enthusiastic audience reception has demonstrated the enormous appeal of these characters and we can’t wait to see all of the hilarious fun this season will undoubtedly deliver.”
The endearing Chuck Lorre sitcom stars Montana Jordan and Emily Osment in the title roles and airs Thursday at 8p.
