RIP Drake Hogestyn
September 29th, 2024 under Obits. [ Comments: none ]

Drake Hogestyn lost his battle with pancreatic cancer yesterday, the day before his 71st birthday.

The Days of Our Lives star family wrote this statement: “It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Drake Hogestyn. He was thrown the curve ball of his life when he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, but he faced the challenge with incredible strength and determination. After putting up an unbelievable fight, he passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

“He was the most amazing husband, father, papa, and actor. He loved performing for the Days audience and sharing the stage with the greatest cast, crew, and production team in the business.

“We love him and we will miss him all the Days of our Lives.”

The actor is best known for playing John Black on Days since 1986. Although he started his run as the mysterious villain, The Pawm, the audience fell in love with him. He quickly became and remained a Daytime Drama favorite.

His death leaves a big hole in the Soap World. He might be gone, but the silver fox’s legacy will live on.

Hogestyn is survived by his wife, Victoria, whom he married in 1986, his four children, Whitney, Alexandra, Rachael, Ben, and seven grandchildren.

Syfy does to Chucky what he does to people
September 27th, 2024 under Chucky. [ Comments: none ]

I don’t know about you, but I thought that Syfy was going to renew Chucky because it has been their biggest series in a while. However, today, the franchise’s creator, Don Mancini, announced that the killer doll is no longer making a killing on the network.

But it doesn’t sound like the news is all bad because the EP wrote, “HE’LL BE BACK.” And considering this is the only Horror franchise that is releasing new material, I am sure he will be!

It will just be interesting to see if Chucky will be revived as a movie or a TV series.

Are you as broken up as I am over the news?

7Up is bringing Shirley Temples home!
September 27th, 2024 under Junk Food. [ Comments: none ]

I am going to sound like a loser, but I am not a big drinker. So when I go out, I like to order Shirley Temples. And I feel like a child on the good ship, lollipop, when I eat that charry. It is actually something I look forward to at affairs. And sometimes I wish I can have it home. And next month, I can.

We can bring the nonalcoholic drink home from October 15th until the last day of the year. That is because 7Up is releasing the flavor via bottle and can during that time.

I feel like I am going to go to the store and buy all the bottles because I want to drink it for as long as I can.

Caption The Brady Bunch kids?
September 27th, 2024 under Caption the Celeb, The Brady Bunch. [ Comments: none ]

Barry Williams wants to know what you think his TV brothers, Christoper Knight and Mike Lookinland, and TV sister, Susan Olsen, are watching. So tell me what you think it is?

Hint: The Brady Bunch turned 55 yesterday, so I would assume that is what Greg, Peter, Bobby, and Cindy Brady are enjoying!

And I am enjoying seeing them all together looking just like the kids we know them as!

Is Anson Williams really 75?
September 27th, 2024 under Are they really their age?, Happy Days. [ Comments: none ]

On Wednesday, Anson Williams turned the big 7-5. However, you would not know it by looking at Potsie Webber without a shirt.

What is his secret? “A wonderful partner who inspires and believes in me. A partner who fires me up to be better, love better, and to keep climbing to the top of mountains,” he wrote about his happy days. “This year has been the most productive and successful time of my life. I’m hoping that this post and picture inspires all that there is no age limit to a great life with the right soul mate.”

Maybe there is still hope for me! Probably not, but it gives me hope. Does it give you hope too?
