Imagine Baby Reindeer with Melissa McCarthy
June 26th, 2024 under Melissa McCarthy, Netflix. [ Comments: none ]

Baby Reindeer is one of Netflix’s most viewed shows. But would that be the case if Melissa McCarty played the stalker instead of Jessica Gunning?

That was almost the case because Variety reports Netflix and CAA really wanted her for the role, but Richard Gadd did not want her. And they added after she met with him, she “wasn’t interested.”

Gadd was reportedly so upset about CAA pushing her that he fired his agents with the agency.

I am happy that she was not part of the show because I don’t think we would’ve gotten past her being Melissa McCarthy. They needed to go with an unknown, and Gunning proved she was worthy of the role. She nailed the woman that the series was allegedly based on.

What do you think?

What if Forrest Gump and Jenny lived happily ever after?
June 26th, 2024 under Tom Hanks. [ Comments: none ]

Am I the only person who wanted to see Forrest Gump and Jenny have their happy ending? However, we didn’t get it because she died of AIDS.

That was that movie. Now, in Here, Tom Hanks and Robin Wright reteamed with Robert Zemeckis to give us that happy ending we never got but with different characters.

Here is an original film about multiple families and a special place they inhabit. The story travels through generations, capturing the human experience in its purest form. Directed by Robert Zemeckis, screenplay by Eric Roth & Zemeckis and told much in the style of the acclaimed graphic novel by Richard McGuire on which it is based, Tom Hanks and Robin Wright star in a tale of love, loss, laughter and life, all of which happen right Here.

Now, we have to talk about how they de-aged the actors. He looks like he did in Bosom Buddies, and she appears like she did when she was the Princess Bride.

Here will be released in theaters on November 15th.

Dam! Hundreds of Beavers looks like the movie of the year!
June 26th, 2024 under Movies. [ Comments: none ]

Are you chomping at the bits to see a movie that is original and unlike anything you have seen before? Well, Hundreds of Beavers is for you!

It is a slapstick frostbitten battle between a drunken applejack salesman (Ryland Brickson Cole Tews) and diabolical beavers – hundreds of them – who stand between him and survival.

The concept is amazing. But I love that it feels like a Looney Tunes cartoon come to life.
