After months of rumors that Halle Bailey is pregnant with her first child, the actress confirmed that she was.

I say was because she announced this weekend that she is a mom. “even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo ✨the world is desperate to know you ♥️”

Congrats to the 23-year-old and her boyfriend, singer ddg on their first child together.

Hey Weird Al Yankovic! You won an Emmy, how will you celebrate?
January 7th, 2024 under Emmys, Weird Al Yankovic. [ Comments: none ]

Weird Al Yankovic’s life story is so outlandish that Roku turned it into a biopic. Weird: The AL Yankovic Story is so amazing that it won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Television Movie yesterday.

So, how did Yankovic celebrate? Did he go to a high-priced fancy restaurant? Nope! He went to In-N-Out, where you can get a fancy burger for a reasonable price!

And that is the perfect way to celebrate being halfway to being an EGOT winner. That, and it is so Weird Al. The man whose story is so ridiculous, it’s hard to believe it is all true.

The Razzies want you!
January 6th, 2024 under Razzies movies?. [ Comments: none ]

Razzies

Shortly after I moved to LA, I saw a movie called Gigli. It was so bad that I became a Razzie member just so I could vote for it for Worst Picture, Worst Actor, and Worst Actress.

And I did. And I have been voting for so many other duds since then. This year, I am so excited to vote for Terrifier 2 and Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey.

And you too, can vote for your worst movies of the year and the people who made that shitty film.

Between now and January 14th, you can nominate the movies you want to see vie for the worst.

All you have to do is join for $40, and you can have a say on what were the bad movies of the year. And to be honest. Most are better than the Oscar nominees. And you can’t vote for those.

Nominations will be announced on January 22nd, and winners will be revealed on March 9th.

Michael Bolton reveals he underwent surgery for a brain tumor
January 5th, 2024 under Michael Bolton. [ Comments: none ]

Michael Bolton ended last year with a scary health scare, and he is now ready to talk about it.

I want to start by wishing everyone a very happy and healthy new year! I also want to share that 2023 ended up presenting me with some very unexpected challenges. Just before the holidays, it was discovered that I had a brain tumor, which required immediate surgery. Thanks to my incredible medical team, the surgery was a success. I am now recuperating at home and surrounded by the tremendous love and support of my family. For the next couple of months, I will be devoting my time and energy to my recovery which means I’ll have to take a temporary break from touring. It is always the hardest thing for me to ever disappoint my fans or postpone a show, but have no doubt I am working hard to accelerate my recovery and get back to performing soon. I am beyond grateful for all the love and support you have so generously shown me through the years. Know that I’m keeping your positive messages in my heart, and I’ll give you more updates as soon as I can. Much love always, MB

Thankfully, they caught the tumor and were able to remove it.

Hopefully, the 70-year-old singer will be better soon and back doing what he loves, dazzling audiences. And we will wait for him as long as it takes.

Nigel Lythgoe dances away from So You Think You Can Dance
January 5th, 2024 under SYTYCD. [ Comments: none ]

Dance On Fox/Instagram

Right before the New Year, Paula Abdul sued Nigel Lythgoe, saying he sexually assaulted her on two occasions. Once during American Idol and a second time when she was a judge on So You Think You Can Dance.

Since then, two other women claimed the same in a lawsuit when he was working with them on the show All American Girl in 2003.

19 Entertainment, who produces the Fox dancing competition, launched their own investigation into the EP and judge.

However, Lythgoe did not wait for their decision to make one of his own. “I have informed the producers of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ of my decision to step back from participating in this year’s series,” Lythgoe said in a statement to Variety. “I did so with a heavy heart but entirely voluntarily because this great program has always been about dance and dancers, and that’s where its focus needs to remain. In the meantime, I am dedicating myself to clearing my name and restoring my reputation.”

Will the show go on as planned on March 4th? Fox said the show “will proceed, although without Nigel Lythgoe, to ensure the show remains committed to the contestants, who have worked incredibly hard for the opportunity to compete on our stage.”

When it comes to who will replace him on the 18th season alongside Allison Holker and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Fox has yet to make a decision.

This is not the first time that SYTYCD lost a judge midseason due to allegations. During the 17th season, Matthew Morrison was replaced by Leah Remini when he was accused of having inappropriate conversations with a contestant. He explained the allegations against him on social media.
