Paul Giamatti takes his Golden Globe for pizza
January 10th, 2024 under Movie Star Gossip. [ Comments: none ]

On Sunday, Paul Giamatti won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for his performance in The Holdovers.

After his win, he took his statuette to In-N-Out. And the food tour didn’t stop there. They also visited the winning actor’s favorite restaurant, Frank Pepe Pizzeria, in New Haven.

I wonder where they will go to next? Because so far, they have eaten better than I have this week, and I am living vicariously through them.

UPDATE: I just realized this photo was photoshooped. But I am too lazy to take down the post. So deal.

Kelsey Grammer was on The Kelly Clarkson Show yesterday, and they had a surprise for all of us. Kelly Clarkson and the actor sang the Frasier theme song Tossed Salads and Scrambled Eggs.

It is so good that I hope if Paramount+ renews the sequel for a second season, I hope they will use their duet during the credits.

Can Harry save the World on Resident Alien?
January 10th, 2024 under Alan Tudyk, Syfy. [ Comments: none ]

Don’t have a date for Valentine’s Day? Don’t worry. Syfy and USA Network have you covered. Resident Alien is returning on February 14th for its third season.

Based on the Dark Horse comics, SYFY’s “Resident Alien” follows a crash-landed alien named Harry (Alan Tudyk) whose secret mission is to kill all humans. In season three, Harry is vowing to work with General McCallister (Linda Hamilton) to rid the Earth of the Grey aliens – a task made more difficult when he discovers that the Grey Hybrid Joseph (Enver Gjokaj) has taken a job in town as the new Deputy. Joseph isn’t Harry’s only obstacle – Harry struggles to balance business and his personal life when he falls in love for the first time. Meanwhile, Asta (Sara Tomko) and D’arcy (Alice Wetterlund) move in together and struggle to discover their purpose in the world, Sheriff Mike (Corey Reynolds) and Deputy Liv (Elizabeth Bowen) continue their quest to find out who killed the Alien Tracker, and Ben (Levi Fiehler) and Kate (Meredith Garretson) are forced to deal with the subconscious repercussions of their alien abductions.

That is a lot to look forward to, and I am here for every hilarious, suspenseful second.

If you missed the first and second seasons, then you can watch them Peacock now.

You’ll never believe how Dominic West got rid of a poltergeist
January 10th, 2024 under Graham Norton. [ Comments: none ]

Dominic West bought a 300-year-old house in Hoxton, England, for a really good price. And as with most houses built next to a plague pit, where they buried people twenty deep, it had a poltergeist attached to it.

While the actor never experienced the paranormal activity, his friend and Vicar, who stayed there, did.

West knew he had to get rid of it, so he told Graham Norton that he decided to exercise it from his house. Therefore, he did the research, and it was a lot of work. Luckily, he didn’t have to do all of that. The person advising him told him to have a kids’ party because it will cheer up the malevolent spirit.

He took that person’s advice and threw a few parties there. And it shockingly worked.

So much so that West didn’t tell the person who bought the place from him.

Does anyone know the law in London if you can sue that homeowner for not sharing that critical detail?

What is, Dulé Hill and Steven Weber give the best wrong answer on Celebrity Jeopardy?
January 10th, 2024 under Uncategorized. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday was the semi-finals of Celebrity Jeopardy, and the Final Jeopardy answer was really hard. So hard it stumped all of the contestants.

Ken Jennings asked the contestants, “According to the BBC, this 1953 event ‘did more than any other to make television a mainstream media.'”

I had no clue. Neither did Katie Nolan, Dulé Hill, and Steven Weber. However, the latter two gave their best guesses.

Well, maybe not the best guesses, but the funniest ones. The Psych star wrote down, “What I don’t know,” and the Wings star guessed, “What is the end.”

Both actors waged it all, bringing their winnings to a big fat zero. Would Nolan move on to the finals with her wrong answer? Yes, because even though she is not witty like her co-contestants, she was wise not to bet it all.

Sadly, she moves on, and the other two go home with $50,000 for their charities. It bums me they are done because I would have liked to see what more they could have done.
