Has James Blunt hit hard times?
November 9th, 2023 under Hard times. [ Comments: none ]

Subway Creatures Official recorded James Blunt singing his song You’re Beautiful with saxophonist Augus Bello at Penn Station. So, has the singer hit hard times? Not at all. He saw the opportunity to entertain people with a talented musician and took advantage of the moment!

Plus, the acoustics in a NYC subway are amazing. So they helped to accentuate his beautiful voice.

I don’t know why more professional musicians don’t seize the moment down there.

The trailer for Ladies of the ’80s: A Divas Christmas is divine!
November 9th, 2023 under Dallas, Donna Mills, Lifetime, Morgan Fairchild, Nicole Scherzinger. [ Comments: none ]

On December 2nd, we are going to see Loni Anderson, Morgan Fairchild, Linda Gray, Donna Mills, and Nicollette Sheridan star in Lifetime’s Ladies of the ’80s: A Divas Christmas. And Christmas is coming 23 days early.

In Ladies of the ’80s: A Divas Christmas, five glamorous ’80s soap opera stars reunite to share the spotlight to shoot the final Christmas episode of their long-running soap opera. The producer, Alex (Travis Burns) and director Nell (Taylor Ann Thompson), old college friends, do their best to keep things on the rails but as the ladies come together, old rivalries resurface that threaten to tear the whole production apart. With the show nearly canceled before it even begins due to the ladies’ famous diva behavior, they reluctantly agree to set aside their differences and past secrets to “act” as if they all still love each other.  When old sparks reignite between Alex and Nell, the ladies become eager to play cupid and conspire to bring the couple together. Along the way, the divas also discover that the love between them all is still very strong too.

Whoever did the casting for this movie deserves an Emmy because it is the best casting of the year. It is perfect! I can’t think of how they could have cast anyone better than these five Divas. Can you?

Neil deGrasse Tyson was almost a stripper
November 9th, 2023 under Kelly Clarkson, Neil deGrasse Tyson. [ Comments: none ]

Before Neil deGrasse Tyson was telling us how the sun shines, he almost showed us where the sun doesn’t shine.

That’s right. He told Kelly Clarkson on her talk show today that he was a dancer before he was an astrophysicist. And he needed some money. So his dancemates told him he could earn a few extra bucks stripping.

Therefore, he went to check out what they did. For their first dance, they moved their bodies to Jerry Lee Lewis’ Great Balls of Fire. And their balls were literally on fire. At that moment, he decided to tutor math to make extra money. And poor Pluto suffered for that last-minute decision. As did all the ladies who missed out on seeing his planets.

Can I tell I went to the same JHS as him? It never made sense to me because we didn’t turn out smart people. However, now it makes more sense that he went to the same elementary school as Steven Tyler and Alfonso Ribeiro. No offense to them, but we are just more about performing than brains in Riverdale.

The SAG-AFTRA strike is over!
November 8th, 2023 under Movies, Primetime TV. [ Comments: none ]

After 118 days, SAG-AFTRA and the AMPTP finally reached a tentative agreement, and that means the strike is over.

“We are thrilled and proud to tell you that today your TV/Theatrical Negotiating Committee voted unanimously to approve a tentative agreement with the AMPTP,” the Actors Union wrote. “As of 12:01am PT on Nov. 9, our strike is officially suspended and all picket locations are closed.”

So now that the actors can go back to work, what does that mean for the broadcast TV shows? According to Deadline, production is expected to start after Thanksgiving. And that means that they should be able to do 10-13 episodes this season. However, not all of the shows will make it onto the 2023-2024 schedule. Some of them will be pushed to next season.

When it comes to film, Deadline is reporting they could be heading back to work as early as next week.

I am so happy that these strikes are finally over, and people can go back to doing what they love to do!

Congrats on getting a fair deal!!!
