Shaquille O’Neal posted a video of himself looking into a mirror, asking it, “Mirror, Mirror on the wall. Who is the sexiest 7-footer? And he’s tall?”
Then Shaq laughed and answered the question with, “That would be me.” And he isn’t wrong. He does look so sexy in that purple suit!
BTW I wonder if he knows that is also the same color the evil Queen Grimhilde wore in Snow White? I won’t be taking any apple from him. Although, I could finally get my Prince!
Yesterday was Christmas, but The Rock gave us a present! That is because Dwanta Claus took off his holiday costume and put on a look we know oh so well on him. And that is his ’90s black turtle neck, gold chain, acid-washed jeans, a black wig, and, of course, the black fanny pack! Because his head-to-toe transformation would not be perfect without it. And now he looks just like he did when he went to the University of Miami!
When it was announced in August that Christopher Landon was hired to helm Scream 7, I was so excited to see what the man who gave us Happy Death Day and Freaky was going to do with the franchise.
But a lot has happened since then. Melissa Barrera was reportedly fired for things she said about being pro-Palenstine. And her movie sister, Jenna Ortega is said to have quit because of her firing.
Since then, Landon, who is Michael Landon’s son, has been silent. But today, he screamed an update. “I guess now is as good a time as any to announce I formally exited Scream 7 weeks ago,” he wrote. “This will disappoint some and delight others. It was a dream job that turned into a nightmare. And my heart did break for everyone involved. Everyone. But it’s time to move on. I have nothing more to add to the conversation other than I hope Wes’ [Craven] legacy thrives and lifts above the din of a divided world. What he and Kevin [Williamson] created is something amazing and I was honored to have even the briefest moment basking in their glow.”
I hope that Spyglass Media Group can find a way to save the Scream 7 Landon was working on and bring everyone back. Because I think it could’ve been the best movie in the franchise had it been made. Landon is the Horror director of the future that we will be admiring for generations.
Tonight after the football game on NBC, we are going to meet our new Extended Family.
Jim (Jon Cryer) and Julia (Abigail Spencer) were a loving couple who had two kids, Grace (Sofia Capanna) and Jimmy Jr (Finn Sweeney). But after 17 years of marriage, they got a divorce.
And now they share custody of their kids. As in, the kids stay in one house, and their parents rotate who lives there every week.
Together, they are trying to keep things amicable between them. But there is a reason they are no longer married. And that is because they don’t get along and disagree about a lot of things.
Julia is an uptight, crisis publicist who fell in love with Trey (Donald Faison), and they are engaged. Trey is an MIT graduate who owns the Celtics. He is unlike Jim, who is unorganized and still very close to his father (Lenny Clark). Jim is also jealous of Trey for obvious reasons. But they are civilish to each other.
They are a dysfunctional Extended Family, but they are still a family. And they are trying to find a way to make their new normal work. And we get to see them fail and succeed at doing this.
Extended Family is the family-friendly sitcom we need now because the Cleavers and the Nelsons are a thing of the past.
And like those shows, this series brings the laughs because there is so much chemistry between the actors who brilliantly act what the writers gave them to do.
I have a feeling that Extended Family will be around for an extended time.
Extended Family moves to its regular night on Tuesday, January 2nd at 8:30p after Night Court.
