Adam Rich passed away yesterday at the age of 54, according to TMZ.
The actor is best known for being America’s little brother thanks to his role as Nicolas Bradford, the youngest child on Eight is Enough in the late ’70s. Boys all over the US had his page boy haircut because parents wanted their kids to be as cute as he was. Heck, I was totally crushing on him when I was in my single digits.
He continued to act throughout the ’80s, but then he suffered from mental illness and addiction.
Rich was very open about his mental illness. He was trying to change the way we look at people who suffer from it and how we treat them. I wish we could’ve done more for him. Maybe that is what his legacy will be. Accepting people with mental illness and treating them like we would treat anyone else with illness and not like they are lepers.
Today, I am honoring him by rewatching his second series Code Red on Crackle. And I am also honoring him by offering to be here for you if you need to talk. If not me, then please call 988.
On Monday night, Damar Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest after a tackle gone wrong during the Buffalo Bills vs the Cincinnati Bengals game. Medics spent 10 minutes trying to revive him, and eventually, their efforts worked.
After that, it was up to our prayers and the doctors at the hospital to save his life, and together it worked. By Thursday night, doctors were able to remove the breathing tube, and he was able to talk to his family and teammates.
Today, the Safety was able to communicate with us. He wrote, “Putting love into the world comes back 3xs as much… thankful for everyone who has reached out and prayed. This will make me stronger on the road to recovery, keep praying for me! 🫶🏾3️⃣”
They say the third time is the charm, and the Bills’ #3 is Football’s charm. May his recovery continue to be miraculous.
Lizzo is a big grrrl, and she loves her body just the way it is! However, there are people who take pleasure in criticizing her saying she is too skinny now to she is too fat. So, she has a message for them.
“Are we OK? Do you see the delusion?” Then the singer added, “Do we realize that artists are not here to fit into your beauty standards? Artists are here to make art. And this body is art. And I am going to do whatever I want with this body!”
The thing I love most about Lizzo is that she is teaching girls body positivity. We all need to feel comfortable in our skin and not feel pressure to achieve something that is unattainable! If we want to change the way we look, we should do it because we want to and not because society tells us we need to look a certain way.
Tom Hanks is one of the nicest guys in Hollywood, but he is playing a grumpy person in A Man Called Otto.
So what makes the actor grumpy in real life? The two-time Oscar winner told Yahoo Entertainment’s Kevin Polowy it is people who don’t use their turn signals.
“You know, suddenly the car that is slowing down, and slowing down for reasons that you don’t understand. And then literally stops,” he said. “And if they just turned on their right blinker to say they are looking for a place to park or they are going to pull into that driveway. Everything is fine. But when they don’t do it, everything is hard.”
Hanks is not wrong. But people who don’t shut off their blinker are just as bad.
And I am going to be the latter because I am going to be petrified that Hanks will be driving behind me when I am looking for a space in Los Angeles (which can be hard to find), and I won’t have my signal on. The last thing I would ever want to do is piss off the Bosom buddy.
Fire Country is so hot; you can say that it is on fire. Therefore, CBS picked it up for a second season today. The news is not a surprise because it is the season’s #1 show.
“It’s pretty remarkable to see a new series resonate like this with both broadcast and streaming audiences right out of the gate,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. “FIRE COUNTRY has so many appealing entry points for the audience. It combines high-stakes action with small-town charm, mystery and romance, and a family franchise at its core. We’re blessed to have an incredible team in front of and behind the camera led by amazing producers and writers and an exceptionally talented cast.”
Besides all of that, who doesn’t like watching fires? That is why shows with that cast member always do well.
Fire Country joins NBC’s Quantum Leap , which was also picked up for a second season.
