NBC and ABC each cancelled a freshman show
March 4th, 2022 under Fox, NBC. [ Comments: none ]

NBC announced that they cancelled Ordinary Joe, and then a few minutes later, Fox did the same with The Big Leap. The news, reported by Variety first, is no surprise because neither show did well in the ratings.

The Big Leap was a great show, but it was wrongly paired with 9-1-1 because it reached a different type of audience. 9-1-1 is first responder drama, while The Big Leap was a fictional take of the behind the scenes of a reality dancing competition show and all the madness that goes on. Well, even more so because it was make-believe. It also had a lot of heart.

Ordinary Joe had an interesting concept. James Wolk starred as the lead character, who had three choices on his college graduation day. The show followed what happened if he made each decision. There was only one problem, the decisions were forced on us 10 years later. We needed a standalone episode for each timeline so we could have gotten to know each story better. It helped with This Is Us, and I think it would’ve done the same with Ordinary Joe.

Are you sad that these shows were given the ax? I am upset about The Big Leap.

Nigel Lythgoe will not be a judge on So You Think You Can Dance this season
March 4th, 2022 under SYTYCD. [ Comments: 2 ]

Earlier this week, Fox sent a press release confirming that So You Think You Can Dance will be back this summer after a two-year COVID-19 break. However, they did not mention who would be judging or who would be hosting.

Today, we got an update from Nigel Lythgoe, who appeared on every season of the show. “I am so thrilled that America’s young aspiring dance talent will get to work with some of our greatest creative choreographers,” he wrote with a but. “On a personally sad note, I have not been asked to be on the judging panel this season. I don’t know who will be saying ‘Cue Music’ but I wish them well.”

While he is the staple of the series, it is time for a change. Now, it is the perfect time for a restart after the break.

With his departure, you have to wonder if they will be bringing back Cat Deeley, who is the heart of the show.

Will a tour bus full of people recognize Blake Shelton?
March 4th, 2022 under Blake Shelton. [ Comments: none ]

Blake Shelton was driving around Nashville, and he saw a tour bus in his path. Therefore, he decided to ask them if they were the gym was. How did they react? My ears got a workout listening to them all scream.

They sure do love their Blake Shelton in the South.

Does Tia Mowry look pregnant to you?
March 4th, 2022 under Do they have something to tell us?, The Mowry Siblings. [ Comments: none ]

Tia Mowry and her husband, Cory Hardrict, have two kids, Cree, 10, and Cairo, 3. Today, she posted some photos of herself looking like she is getting ready to expand to her family any day now.

So, is she expecting baby #3? Nope, but her character on Family Reunion is very pregnant.

Doesn’t that fake belly look real? I really thought she was having a baby.

What happens when a guest goes quiet with Kelly Clarkson?
March 4th, 2022 under Kelly Clarkson. [ Comments: none ]

Greg Kinnear is on The Kelly Clarkson Show, and she asked him if he got stressed when he hosted Talk Soup. He said, “As long as the person you are talking to has answers to the questions, it’s better.”

Clarkson laughed, and she said that was the advice she was given by other talk show hosts. She then continued on and on and on with her thoughts for 50 seconds because Kinnear didn’t say anything.

And then it finally hit her. Her guest set her up to see what would happen if the guest didn’t utter a word. The answer is it would keep talking until the director told her to go to a commercial break.

So I think it would be hilarious if a guest came on and didn’t speak for the entire interview to see what deep dark secrets she would reveal. Because you know she would.
