Back in December, Jeff Garlin and The Goldbergs parted ways because of his alleged inappropriate behavior on the set. Therefore, the show has to figure out how to explain why Murray is no longer there.
The real Beverly Goldberg has been pitching an idea to her son, the real Adam F. Goldberg, since the show got started, and now she is pitching it to us.
“So here’s the new idea for season 10 of The Goldbergs. Like reality my hubby passed away and I started dating. After a few years,” the sMother wrote. “This is the show I wanted Adam to write. But he said he wasn’t letting me loose on America. Well now I’m really loose on America so what the heck.”
Would you watch The Goldbergs if it was all about Beverly dating? I mean, with Erica getting married and Adam going away to college, it seems like the natural next step for the show. As in, they should flash forward a few years and make it about how Beverly is surviving without her kids and husband.
Before Sophia Bush was supplying air to patients on Good Sam, she didn’t know who Air Supply was in National Lampoon’s Van Wilder. She looks the same now as she did when she was 19 in that 2002 movie.
CBS’s new medical drama Good Sam is about a daughter and her dad fighting for the same position, the Cheif of Surgery. You see, Sam’s (Sophia Bush) father Griff (Jason Isaacs) held the position until he was shot and spent six months in a coma. During his absence, the hospital offered his job to Sam. Now that he is awake, he will do anything to get that position back, including screwing over his daughter.
Last week, Griff went to the board and convinced them to give him his job back. Sam then went to them and got them to hold off. Now, they are at war. And tonight at 10p, he proves he is a$$hole. He finds a way to embarrass his daughter and cost the hospital a lot of money. So Sam has to find a way to undo what he did, but she might not be able to do it.
If that is enough, she has a patient that has come in with chest pains after sex. Sam notices she had a heart attack. Actually, she has had several and didn’t even know it. Therefore, Sam has to figure out what has been causing them before one of them kills her, and the patient has not been completely honest about her history.
Sam will get the patient’s real history from her doctor. That doctor has had a history with Griff, and she offers Sam an offer she can’t refuse. But Sam refuses it. How long can Sam say no to her offer?
There is even more trouble for Sam’s department. One of her doctors lost a patient on the table. Now, they are having problems coping with it. Will they be able to find out why a simple procedure led to their patient dying?
Oh, and did I mention that is episode is directed by Jane the Virgin’s Gina Rodriguez? She is as good in front of the camera as she is from behind it.
I have to admit that I wasn’t wowed by the pilot of Good Sam. But now that I have watched the first three episodes, I am in love with the show. The pilot was just setting things up for the great war between a father and his daughter, all while mixing the heart that Sam has when she sees her patients. Sam and Bush are the same when it comes to caring for people. It is as though this character was made for Bush, and that is why she was perfectly cast in the role.
Back in 1987, a movie came out called Dirty Dancing. It has been almost 34 years since we fell in love with Jennifer Grey and Patrick in their roles, and Fox thinks that now is a good time to recreate the film as a reality show.
Are people still talking about it to the point that we want to see celebs dance and act like Baby and Johnny Castle? It is an iconic feature, but I don’t think enough to still garner the interest that the Fox executives think it will get when it debuts on February 1st.
Now, if it were Star Wars or Ferris Bueller, maybe I can understand that. But not Dirty Dancing.
So what is the premise of The Real Dirty Dancing? Fox describes it as the reality competition will follow eight celebrities — Brie Bella, Corbin Bleu, Tyler Cameron, Cat Cora, Howie Dorough, Antonio Gates, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, and Loni Love — as they fully immerse themselves in the ultimate Dirty Dancing experience. Set at Virginia’s Mountain Lake Lodge, which was the real location for the film’s fictional Kellerman’s Lodge, the stars will partner up and learn iconic dance routines from the Jennifer Grey-and Patrick Swayze-led movie and recreate classic scenes — including the legendary lift that cemented the film’s spot in cinematic history. Throughout the event special, Dirty Dancing’s memorable music and unforgettable fashion will transport viewers right back to that magical summer in 1963.
Twitch will host the show, and there will be several guest judges. If Grey is not one of them, then that says it all to be.
I get that Fox needs to fill the space that was vacated by Monarch because they moved the Country Music Soap Opera to the Fall. However, I just don’t see this doing well. I mean, ABC Family did a remake of the movie in 2017, and it did not do well. If Sarah Hyland and Debra Messing couldn’t bring in an audience, how will these celebrities do it? That and did you even know that in 2014 there was a tour of a musical version of the movie that lasted for almost three years? I didn’t. I even forgot that in 2020 it was announced that they are doing a sequel with Grey reprising her role.
The Batman has a new poster out, and it doesn’t look like your traditional Superhero movie to me. It reminds me more of a pornody because of all of that leather. All they need is a whip and a paddleboard, and they will get my Catwoman purring.
Am I the only person who is thinking this? Please say I am not alone. Tell me you could also see this as Fifty Shades of Batman.
