Last week, we all fell in love with Ordinary Joe on NBC. A show about a man who has three choices on his college graduation day.
Joe (James Wolk) can choose to go with Jenny (Elizabeth Lail), his BFF, get married, have a kid, and become a nurse. Or he can ask Amy (Natalie Martinez) on a date, get married, struggle to have children, and become a Rock Star. Or he can pick his family, not get married, and follow his father’s footsteps to become a cop. Three drastically different choices, and we get to see all of those play out.
Last week he went to his college reunion, and we got to see how his choice affected the other women in the different timelines when he reconnects with them. On this week’s episode at 10p, we get to see him deal with the fallout of his interactions with the women he didn’t ask out that day, ten years earlier.
That is one part of the episode. The other part is learning more about how his father’s death changed who Joe is as the man he became in his 30s. So, get the tissues ready because you are going to need them.
There are a lot of things we are going to see in each episode, and singing is one of them. Recently at the NBC TCA Summer Press Day, Wolk revealed if he is a trained singer.
“I studied straight theater, plays, and drama. I didn’t study musical theater, but I have always
loved singing,” he said. “You know, whether it’s in the shower, or whether it’s for my kids, or for my wife, like, I just always am singing. But this is the first time I’ve done it professionally, and it’s been a great joy to get to do that with this show.”
And it is a great joy to listen to him sing. So much so, it is hard to believe he hasn’t done this professionally before now. So tune into Wolk singing every Monday at 10p on NBC, and act in a drama that is hard not to adore.
Before Sean Penn was a Rocker who marched to his own beat in This Must Be the Place, he was already doing that in The Beaver Kid 2. He looks the same now as he did when he was 19 in that 1980 short.
Enrique Iglesias played a show with Ricky Martin over the weekend. When it was over, Martin walked with everyone else backstage. However, Iglesias was carried by singer Sebastian Yatra. Who knew he was such a Divo?
Ariana Grande should watch out because Enrique is going to claim your title of biggest Diva in Rock after Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Madonna, and Jennifer Hudson.
After months of speculation, wondering who will be back and who won’t be on Saturday Night Live this season, today we found who is going to be part of the SNL’s 47th year?
The returning Not-Ready-For-Primetime-Players are Aidy Bryant, Michael Che, Pete Davidson, Mikey Day, Chloe Fineman, Heidi Gardner, Colin Jost, Kate McKinnon, Alex Moffat, Kyle Mooney, Ego Nwodim, Chris Redd, Cecily Strong, Kenan Thompson, Melissa Villaseñor, and Bowen Yang, featuring Andrew Dismukes, and Punkie Johnson.
Aristotle Athari, James Austin Johnson, and Sarah Sherman will be joining the show this season.
So who is missing because that is a lot of names? Beck Bennett is moving on.
Are you happy that Michael Che and Pete Davidson will be around to be controversial for another year?
The Rock might be the biggest tough guy in movies these days. But at home, he is a big old softie.
If his daughter, Tiana, wants him to give her a manicure, then he is going to sit at her little table and give her one. The 3-year-old might be wrapped around his little finger, but she got him to paint her fingernails.
I love his three daughters because they are the boss of him. And there is nothing he can do about it.
Seriously, DJ is what celebrities are supposed to be. He is a great actor, a caring philanthropist, a loving husband and father, and just all-around perfect. All of the up-and-coming actors should follow his example because they should want to grow up to be him. Not like the Jennifer Anistons or Shia LaBeoufs.
