For nine years there have been rumors that we are getting a sequel to Twins called Triplets. Part of the rumor is that Eddie Murphy was going to play Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s brother. The latter is no longer the case. Their new brother is Tracy Morgan.
Ivan Reitman, who is producing the movie, explained how it all went down to Deadline. “Twins was quite successful, and some years after, this whole thing started with Arnold meeting Eddie Murphy, and the suggestion came from one of them,” Reitman said. “It was, ‘I should be a triplet, that could be a very funny comedy.’ We started a script with Eddie, and after the success he had with Amazon Prime on Coming 2 America, he got himself booked up heavily. And we knew we were going to make it at the beginning of next year. I’d been good friends with Tracy Morgan for a long time and always thought he was one of the funniest men in the world. I thought he would make a terrific triplet, and we rewrote the whole script for him. Now, we’ll go out and try and put the money together and get it made.”
And they are slated to start making it in Boston in January.
I have to admit; I am intrigued. It will be interesting to see how Morgan and DeVito play off of each other.
Norm Macdonald passed away today at the age of 61 after a nearly 10-year battle with cancer. His longtime producing partner and friend Lori Jo Hoekstra told Deadline that he wanted to keep his diagnosis private from everyone, including friends and family.
“He was most proud of his comedy,” Hoekstra said. “He never wanted the diagnosis to affect the way the audience or any of his loved ones saw him. Norm was a pure comic. He once wrote that ‘a joke should catch someone by surprise, it should never pander.’ He certainly never pandered. Norm will be missed terribly.”
Macdonald was best known for anchoring Weekend Update on Saturday Night Live from 1993-1998. During that segment, he would constantly stab O.J. Simpson with his jokes. The network didn’t laugh, so it was reported they fired him over it.
It worked out OK for him because he starred in several movies and TV shows. He even has his own, which was named after him.
His deadpan humor and ability to tell a joke like no one else made him an icon and a legend. So today, let’s honor him by laughing at one of many his really long jokes that are worth listening to all the way to the end for the punchline.
Nick Carter has been in front of the camera for almost 30 years, so he has learned a thing or two about putting up makeup. Today, he decided to give men a little tutorial on how “to fix that f*cked up face” using his wife’s makeup.
First, you put on under eye masks. Then the next step is to go through your wife’s makeup drawer.
However, don’t do what he did when he opened it. That was say, “This is going to be a problem.” Because when she sees that you said that, you are going to need concealer to cover your black eye. And he thought having bags under his eyes was going to be his worst problem.
Kevin Hart is doing another movie for Netflix, and he revealed who will be playing his parents in Me Time. They are Good Times’ John Amos and Amen’s Anna Maria Horsford.
I don’t know about you, but them, along with Regina Hall, is enough to make me want to see this film that will stream next fall.
I just hope it doesn’t make me cry like Fatherhood. Great movie, but a real tearjerker. I have enough reasons to cry as it is.
Jason Derulo decided to try out the Photo Crop filer on TikTok. You know, the one where the box moves around the screen and snaps photos as you try to center yourself in it when it does.
The first shot went well; the second one didn’t. So, he gave it a shot, as in a punch. Well, it didn’t like that, so it beat the sh!t out of him.
And now Derulo learned an important lesson. Don’t try to mess with filters because they will make you look bad.
