Do you want to jam with Space Jam: A New Legacy?
April 3rd, 2021 under HBO Max, Sports figures. [ Comments: none ]

LeBron James is leaving the court to play a basketball player in Space Jam: A New Legacy on July 16th.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from the movie and his acting, but the trailer won me over. Not him, per se, but the Looney Tunes characters being looney. Who doesn’t love them doing that?

Are you going to watch the movie when it becomes available on the big screen and on HBO Max?

Things got catty at the LA Dodgers/Colorado Rockies game
April 3rd, 2021 under Animals, Sports figures. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday was opening day for Major League Baseball at Coors Field for The Rockies, and everything was great going into the 7th inning stretch. But then things got interesting when there was an extra player on the field. Well, not a player, but a cat.

The beautiful grey kitty ran faster than an outfielder, trying to catch a line drive before it is out of there. On that note, why didn’t the outfielders try to capture the feline? Instead, they let a ball gal do it. Proving it takes a woman to do a man’s job.

No word what happened to feline yet, but I hope they make it their mascot.

Andrew McCarthy still has a connection with Mannequins
April 2nd, 2021 under Andrew McCarthy. [ Comments: none ]

Back in 1987, Andrew McCarthy fell in love with a Mannequin, who only came to life for him. Now, almost 35 years later, he still gets emotional when he sees one.

If it is a female one, it gets his heart beating really fast. However, if they are broken up and in a million pieces, it breaks his heart. How romantic that a movie he starred in touched him as much as it did.

I just hope he doesn’t have the same reaction when he sees a dead person being carried around like they are still alive.

I guess you can say in the ’80s; he was typecast as someone who works well with stiffs, Molly Ringwald in Pretty In Pink, Kim Cattrall in Mannequin, and Terry Kiser in Weekend at Bernie’s. Sorry, Molly, I had to go there.

BTW McCarthy has a memoir out now called Brat: An ’80s Story detailing his experience on all of those movies and so much more.

Bridgerton just broke our hearts
April 2nd, 2021 under Netflix, Regé-Jean Page, Shonda Rhimes. [ Comments: none ]

There were three reasons to watch Bridgerton; the story, the sex scenes with the Duke of Hastings, and Regé-Jean Page, who played him. Well, today, Netflix got rid of two of those reasons. That is because they announced that Page will not be returning for the second season.

Lady Whistledown’s SOCIETY PAPERS

Dearest Readers,

While all eyes turn to Lord Anthony Bridgerton’s quest to find a Viscountess, we bid adieu to Rege-Jean Page, who so triumphantly played the Duke of Hastings. We’ll miss Simon’s presence onscreen, but he will always be a part of the Bridgerton family. Daphne will remain a devoted wife and sister, helping her brother navigate the upcoming social season and what it has to offer — more intrigue and romance than my readers may be able to bear.
Yours Truly, Lady Whistledown

No offense to Jonathan Bailey, who plays Anthony Bridgerton, your sex scenes were nice, but they were not naughty like Page’s. Therefore, you should spend some time working on it if you want us to watch season two.

Why does Shonda Rhimes always get rid of the good-looking, sexy ones?

UPDATE: Regé-Jean Page responded to the news, “Pleasure and a privilege! An honour to be a member of the family – on and off screen, cast, crew and incredible fans – the love is real and will just keep growing ❤️💫”

At least he got to host Saturday Night Live because of this role.
