Season 4 will debut next year.

Shark Tank turned down fashionable face masks in 2009
December 10th, 2020 under Barbara Corcoran, Shark Tank. [ Comments: none ]

Back in 2009, Irina Blok pitched fashionable surgical masks on Shark Tank. All the Sharks thought it was a stupid idea and passed.

Now 11 years later, Barbara Corcoran feels like the stupid one for not investing in the idea. She could have been a billionaire if she did. Oh well, if someone pitches a time machine, then they can go back in time and have a bidding war over the masks. Then one of them would be racking in the big bucks.

Sinbad’s family gives an update on his health
December 10th, 2020 under Sinbad. [ Comments: none ]

Last month, Sinbad’s family announced that the comedian suffered a stroke. Yesterday, his children Paige and Royce gave an update on his condition. “We are happy to report that he continues to recover and is getting better every single day,” his daughter said with a smile.

“We also want to thank every last one of you for your well wishes, calls, texts, cards, flowers, but especially your prayers. Gd is listening and they are working and for that we are immensely grateful,” his son added. “We ask that you please continue to stand in agreement with us for his complete healing.”

They also read a statement from their dad. “Thank Gd for everything He’s given you, even if it’s not everything you asked for. Thank Gd for family and hug the ones you love while you’re still with them. We need each other to get through this journey,” Sinbad said. “I can’t wait to see you all again soon. As always, stay funky, stay prayed up!”

Please continue to pray for him. Hopefully, he will back doing what he loves and what we love watching him do real soon. Get well, Sinbad.

Ellen DeGeneres and Carrie Ann Inaba got the COVID
December 10th, 2020 under Coronavirus, Ellen DeGeneres. [ Comments: 1 ]

Today was supposed to be Day 12 of Ellen Degeneres’ 12 Days of Giving. However, she got a gift that canceled her plans to do that.

“Hi Everyone, I want to let you all know that I tested positive for Covid-19. Fortunately, I’m feeling fine right now. Anyone who has been in close contact with me has been notified, and I am following all proper CDC guidelines,” Degeneres wrote. “I’ll see you all again after the holidays. Please stay healthy and safe.”

DeGeneres is the first talk show host to come down with coronavirus since they resumed production back in their studios. Her daytime talk show was the first one to bring back a live audience. She also interviews guests in person without a mask.

I wonder her diagnosis will change how things are done on the other shows. Only time will tell.

UPDATE: The Talk’s Carrie Ann Inaba also tested positive for COVID-19. She is second the daytime host to get it.

The Talk and Ellen tape on two different lots a few miles away from each other. Actually, I live in between both studios, and now I am worried I am going to get it. Good thing I cannot go out.

Get well soon, Carrie. Hopefully, your cats are taking care of you.

Gerard Butler is back with another disaster movie
December 10th, 2020 under Gerard Butler. [ Comments: none ]

If someone asked me what genre of movies is my favorite, then I would tell them I love Disaster films. I could watch them day in and day out if given the chance. Therefore, whenever there is a new one out, I am the first one to see them.

That is why to me, it seems like a lot of the recent big-budget ones star Gerard Butler. He has done Geostorm and the Fallen franchise. On December 18th, he will be back in another one called Greenland.

A family fights for survival as a planet-killing comet races to Earth. John Garrity (Gerard Butler), his estranged wife Allison (Morena Baccarin), and young son Nathan make a perilous journey to their only hope for sanctuary. Amid terrifying news accounts of cities around the world being leveled by the comet’s fragments, the Garrity’s experience the best and worst in humanity. As the countdown to global apocalypse approaches zero, their incredible trek culminates in a desperate and last-minute flight to a possible safe haven.

After watching the trailer, I can’t wait to stream this feature next week. Hopefully, it will be better than Geostorm. That was a disaster, and not as in a Disaster movie.
