Sinbad is recovering from a stroke
November 16th, 2020 under Sinbad. [ Comments: none ]

Sinbad’s family shared a message about his health today, and the actor/comedian recently suffered a stroke.

“It is out of sincere love that we share Sinbad, our beloved husband and father, is recovering from a recent stroke,” the Adkins family announced in a statement. “Sinbad is a light source of love and joy for many generations. While he is beginning his road to recovery, we are faithful and optimistic that he will bring laughter into our hearts soon. Our family thanks you in advance for your love and support and ask for continued prayers for his healing. We also ask that you please respect our privacy during this time.’ Thank you.”

Today, as we pray for the 64-year-old’s speedy recovery, I also ask you to watch his hilarious sitcoms, movies, and comedy specials on streaming sites like Tubi. Maybe as we laugh with Sinbad, it will help to heal him by sending positive energy his way. We need him to get better so he can make us laugh out loud again!

BTWF: Sinbad on Dick Clark’s Nitetime Show
September 19th, 2019 under Before They Were Famous, Sinbad. [ Comments: none ]

Before Sinbad was a coach on Different World, he was coaching singles on Dick Clark’s Nitetime. How hysterical was the 28-year-old in that 1985 episode?

The cast of All That 1.0 reunited for trivia at Good Burger
September 18th, 2019 under Alisa Reyes, Sinbad. [ Comments: none ]

About two months ago, one of the skits from All That came to life with Good Burger getting a Pop Up restaurant. Yesterday, several members from the original series got together to play trivia with their fans. Actually, Sinbad, Alisa Reyes, Lori Beth Denberg, Josh Server, Angelique Bates, Christy Knowings and Leon Frierson read the questions and we had to answer them. I just Googled all the answers because that is how I play trivia.

It is not about me, it is about my friend Alisa and her castmates having fun reliving their youth with the fans. While those fans got to meet their TV friends who were a big part of younger days.

Everyone had a blast eating the Good Burgers and drinking the adult orange sodas with alcohol. Everyone except absentees Kenan Thompson who does something on Saturday Night and Kel Mitchell who is Dancing with the Stars.

Since they could not be there, they got two impersonators to play them. The guy who played Ed was so good, I actually thought it was Mitchell himself. Yes, lots of laughs at my expense.

The Good Burger in LA is closing on the 29th and reopening in Chicago next year. When it comes to the All That reboot, it is back on Saturday with the 4 final episodes of the first season. Keep your eye to see Mitchell, Server, Denberg and Reyes in at least one of those episodes.

Personally, I wish Nickelodeon would also do an adult version of All That with the OGs. Would you watch?

Lil Rel becomes a big TV star tonight
September 9th, 2018 under Fox, Sinbad, The Carmichael Show. [ Comments: none ]

Lil Rel Howery is the breakout star from Get Out, and tonight after the football game he gets his show on Fox. Lil Rel teams up with his former co-star Jerrod Carmichael, who is now his executive producer, for Rel.

Rel had it all, a beautiful wife and two kids, but then she cut him out her life when she slept with his barber. Now he is trying to adjust to single life with his kids being so far away from him. Thankfully, he has his father (Sinbad) who is not that supportive. His brother Nat (Jordan L. Jones) who just got out of jail for dealing crack, I mean ecstasy. Plus, his best friend Tiffany (Jessica Moore) who keeps it real with him. She even sets up him with her friend who has something everyone makes fun of her about.

Good thing his preacher (Lil Rel) likes to use his family and him as examples in his sermons. Good thing for us, not for him.

Rel has a lot of potential because of the people in front of and behind the camera like Carmichael and The Simpson’s Mike Scully. It is not The Carmichael Show, but it is definitely a sitcom we can all fall in love with.

After tonight, we will get more episodes starting on September 30th at 9:30p.

Sinbad is alive!
August 14th, 2008 under FX, Sinbad. [ Comments: none ]

Sinbad is alive and kicking (contrary to reports from last year) and will be on this of FX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia starting on September 18th at 10p!
I just love how wrong this show is and I can’t wait to see what the writers come up with for the gang this season. Especially what the heck is that green screen man doing!
BTW I didn’t recognize Sinbad without his famous ‘do.
