Sinbad wins the Netflix documentary trend |

There is a trend on social media where people are sitting down in a chair pretending they are getting ready to film a documentary for Netflix.
Most are pretty obvious. However, there was one that made me laugh out loud because it is so perfect.
Sinbad did the trend and wrote, “Preparing for my Netflix documentary on the truth of Shazaam.”
For those of you who don’t get the joke, Shazaam is one of the most infamous cases of the Mandela Effect. People swear they saw Sinbad in a movie called Shazaam. However, there is no such movie. Or is there… We will find out when the doc comes out.

About six years ago, Sinbad suffered a major stroke, and he has been trying to get back to himself and on stage ever since.
Finally, he feels strong enough to take the stage again and will do his stand-up sitting down at the Ice House in Pasadena tonight and on May 10th.
The comedian says these two shows are the first of many more to come!
In a recorded message, he sounded like his old self. So, I am sure the audience is in for something amazing at his shows because his routines are always hilarious.
Sinbad deserves all the laughs he gets from his crowds! And he needs them because they say it is the best medicine.
The actor made sure to thank all of his fans for continuing to pray for him. So, I pray he continues to get better!

In November 2020, Sinbad suffered a major stroke. Since then, he has been recuperating, trying to get back to where he was before the stroke. And that is costly.
So on May 6th, Netflix is a Joke will hold a fundraiser to raise money for Sinbad Special Needs Trust.
His family is “thrilled to announce #netflixisajoke fest, in partnership with Live Nation, a special night of comedy dedicated to honoring the legendary comedian Sinbad! There will be special guests, surprise sets, and more at YouTube Theater on May 6th, so make sure to get your tickets now.”
The event will be hosted by Doug E. Fresh, with guest performances by Deon Cole, D.L. Hughley, Byron Allen, Mark Curry, DJ Trauma, and more surprise guests! I have a feeling one of those special guests will be Sinbad himself.

Back in October 2020, Sinbad suffered an ischemic stroke, and since then, he has been recovering from it.
He has rarely been seen since it happened. However, this weekend, he Zoomed in to a Different World reunion at Morehouse College in Atlanta.
And today, he posted a video on Instagram to give his fans an update on how he is doing.
As you can hear, he sounds and looks great. However, it appears that he still has some paralysis on the left side of his body.
In the video, he wanted to thank everyone who has been praying for his recovery because it has been working. So much so that he said, “Expect to see more of me soon.”
Don’t be surprised if he is standing behind you. And if he is, don’t tell him I can’t believe you are here. That is because he wants you to believe it because “Miracles happen.” And they have happened to him.
I can’t wait to see him back doing what he loves and what we love him doing, and that is making us laugh until it hurts!
I met Sinbad at an event about a year before his stroke, and he is one of the nicest, most sincere people I have met in this town. So, I have been praying for him to have a full recovery.

Sinbad’s family gives an update on his health after his stroke |

Two years ago, Sinbad, 66, suffered a stroke, but his family didn’t elaborate on how serious it was. Today, they gave an update on his condition, and it is a miracle that the comedian is still with us.
The family wrote, “On October 25, 2020, Sinbad suffered an ischemic stroke as a result of a blood clot that traveled from his heart to his brain. He was rushed into surgery at West Hills Medical Center that night where the doctor’s performed a thrombectomy to remove the clot and restore normal blood flow to the brain. After surgery, Sinbad was talking and moving with some weakness, but the prognosis was very promising. The next day, however, another blood clot formed, half the size of the first. He successfully underwent the same surgery again, but it took a little more from him than the first surgery.”
After the surgery, his brain began to swell, and they did a craniotomy. During the operation, doctors discovered a bleed in his brain. Instead of waking him up post-op, they put him in an induced coma and placed him on a ventilator. And that is how he spent the next several weeks.
When he finally woke up, his left side was paralyzed. He spent the next several months in rehab. And then, nearly nine months after that fateful night, he was finally sent home.
Since then, he has been getting stronger. However, all of the therapy has drained him of his savings. Therefore his family is asking for some financial help so he can continue to improve. If you would like to donate to his care, you can do so at the site that Sinbad’s family set up.
Along with asking for money, they thanked us for our prayers. He had a 30% chance of survival, and they believe “Sinbad is here because of the multitude of prayers from all who know and love him. We are eternally grateful. Every outpouring of love and the memories of how he has touched all of you have not gone unheard, unseen, or unfelt. Thank you. You have lifted his spirits along the way and inspired the entire family.”
