BTWF: Parvesh Cheena in an Illinois Department of Public Health PSA
October 30th, 2020 under Before They Were Famous. [ Comments: none ]

Before Parvesh Cheena was smoking hot in Outsourced, he was in an anti-smoking PSA for the Illinois Department of Public Health with Cecily Strong. He looks the same now as he did when he was 21 in that 2001 PSA.

Don’t believe me? Kelly Clarkson was able to point him out in it when both he and Cecily Strong were guests on her show.

Superstore takes place in March, Connecting goes back to when we marched
October 29th, 2020 under NBC, Superstore. [ Comments: none ]

Superstore is back on NBC tonight at 8p, and it takes place right when the pandemic was just starting out. That is because the sitcom never got to shoot its season finale due to the coronavirus pandemic emerging in the United States.

Amy (America Ferrera) just announced that she is starting a new job in California, and everyone wants to know if Jonah (Ben Feldman) is going to go with her. That is whenever they open up their offices again.

While corporate is closed, Cloud 9 is still open. Amy is doing both jobs, her old and new one. She is trying to help her co-workers adjust to working during a pandemic with no help from the big bosses. Therefore, they will come up with creative ways to remain safe. In a way, only they can.

I can’t wait to see how they move forward with the show as the season goes on. I don’t think many of us realized how bad all of this is on the big box workers. At least now they have representation on television like so many other frontline workers.

Then at 8:30p, Connecting picks up shortly after we were all horrified when we saw what happened to George Floyd. Michelle (Jill Knox) is taking it really hard. She doesn’t have a lot of time to deal with it because she is working from home. It would not be that bad if she were dealing with just the job. However, she is also trying to figure out how to save all of her co-worker jobs too.

Her friends and her husband (Keith Powell) see how stressed she is, and they are trying to help her. However, they are stressed too, dealing with everything going on.

This is something we have all been going through over the last several months. Connecting is doing a brilliant job merging the real world with a fictional one and making it enjoyable. Watch it tonight and every Thursday after Superstore.

Lark Voorhies is Saved By the Bell again
October 29th, 2020 under Saved by the Bell/City Guys. [ Comments: none ]

Earlier this week, we saw Zack, Kelly, Jessie, and Slater together in the trailer for the Saved By the Bell reboot that is coming to Peacock on November 25th. Today, we got a Thanksgiving surprise from Lark Voorhies. She revealed that she will reprise her role as Lisa Turtle. We don’t know much about her return, but it looks like her character has gone into fashion.

On that note, I hope that Screech is just fashionably late. It just won’t feel the same without Dustin Diamond.

Does this latest casting news make you even more excited for its return?

The animated Creepshow episodes are scarier than the live-action ones
October 29th, 2020 under Joey King, Kiefer Sutherland, Shudder. [ Comments: none ]

In honor of Halloween, Shudder released two new episodes of Creepshow today for streaming. Due to the pandemic and filming restrictions, both of them are animated. Since the series comes from a comic book, the animation mimics that feel. A feeling that makes the stories even scarier because it leaves a lot up to the imagination. Getting lost in your thoughts can make even the creepiest of stories creepier.

In Survivor Type, Kiefer Sutherland goes from Designated Survivor to the lone survivor on an island. He was on a cruise ship that sunk in the middle of nowhere. No one knows that anyone made it out alive, so he is doing his best to survive. Even though there is no food on the island and parts of his body are decaying from infections. Since he is a doctor, he is doing the unthinkable to make sure he sees another day. However, how far will someone go to stay alive? That is what we will find out as Sutherland narrates what his character writes in his journal about his fight to live on in an impossible situation.

Joey King is the sole voice in Twittering from the Circus of the Dead. Unlike Sutherland, she tells her terrifying tale via Twitter. King is a teenager on a failed road trip with her parents and her brother. They planned on going skiing, but there was too much snow. Therefore, her father comes up with an alternative plan. He decided to take them to something called the Circus of Death. What is that? King will describe the unimaginable horror to us in a series of tweets that will send shivers down your spine.

Yesterday, Shudder announced that Marilyn Manson (Sons of Anarchy), Ali Larter (The Rookie), Iman Benson (BlackAF), Ryan Kwanten (True Blood), Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator), C. Thomas Howell (Criminal Minds), Denise Crosby (Star Trek: The Next Generation), Breckin Meyer (Robot Chicken), Ted Raimi (The Evil Dead), Kevin Dillon (Entourage) and Eric Edelstein (We Bare Bears) will guest star on the second of the season of the show. Personally, I wish for the third one; they do every episode like these two. Seriously, you have to watch them. Once you do will be saying exactly what I am. It so much more horrifying when you don’t see everything that is happening. Because of that, you create from their thoughts what else is going on around them. I am still afraid to go to sleep after watching this Halloween special. It is that terrifying.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch Milk is coming in 2021!
October 29th, 2020 under Fast Food. [ Comments: none ]

2020 sucks, no one is going to deny that. 2021, is shaping out to be better. That is because Cinnamon Toast Crunch announced today that they are going to start selling milk flaovered like their cereal in Janaury. Just when we are done drinking with Egg Nog, it is time to start downing Cinnamilk. I wonder if it tastes as yummy with Rum as the Christmas drink.
