Before Mandy Patinkin and Gilda Radner were household names, they used something we all have had in our households, Listerine. Don’t you love seeing the two actors work together in their early 20’s back in that ’70s commercial?
Lifetime announced five more original movies for this Christmas bringing their total to 30. Of those five movies, one will feature a same-sex couple, and another is about an Asian-American family.
In The Christmas Set-Up, Hugo is reunited with his high school crush, Patrick, who is also interested in him. They won’t need the help of mistletoe to kiss. Patrick’s mom is helping that happen.
That is just one of the movies that we will get to see. A Sugar & Spice Holiday is the story about Suzie returning home to spend the holidays with her Chinese family. While she is there, she starts cooking things up with an old high school friend.
Melissa Joan Hart, Jason Preistley, and Robin Givens star in Dear Christmas. Tiffany Haddish is producing Christmas Unwrapped that stars Amber Stevens West.
All of the above, are sharing the holidays with Betty White. Her movie was previously announced.

Amazon Prime announced today that they picked up their killer show Hunters for a second season, and I want to know what they are going to do next. The first season ended perfectly with several jaw-dropping moments. With the last one being the biggest surprise of them all. It is because of that, I cannot wait to see what they do next and how they do it.
I know I am being vague, but it is something you have to see because it is that stunning. The whole episode was the best hour of television all year. I have never seen a show wrap things up as brilliantly as they did. Why it was not nominated for any Emmys, shows that those schmucks don’t know anything about great television.
Don’t believe me that it is great TV. I hate anything that Al Pacino is in and normally cannot watch anything with Nazis. However, the first scene in the series (see above video) had me hooked before the final shot rang out. Watch it, and then binge the whole series. When you are done with the first season, email me and tell me what you think will happen next. That and now you get why I didn’t say any more than I did?
Thank you, Amazon Prime! 2020 isn’t all bad with news like this.
Normally at this time of year, broadcast’s scripted television would be back in full production. However, COVID-19 has other ideas about that. This year, the only shows back at work are game shows, reality TV, and soap operas.
Well, that is about to change soon. Deadline is reporting that S.W.A.T., the midseason show that just made it back on the fall lineup, is expected to start filming tomorrow in Los Angeles. By the end of the month, it could be joined by The Goldbergs. These Sony produced shows join their studio brethren Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Shark Tank, The Bold and the Beautiful, and The Young and The Restless in production.
Y&R joins B&B and will begin airing new episodes starting on August 10th, according to CBS.
There is one more Sony show getting ready to go back to work, and that is The Good Doctor in Vancouver. It is not the only show that tapes in Canada that is gearing up to begin filming. So is Supernatural, The Flash, Riverdale, A Million Little Things, and Charmed. When Calls the Heart went back into production last week with Jack Wagner.
That is north of Hollywood to the west, Family Feud will forego an audience in Atlanta later this month per The Wrap. Up north in New York City, The Blacklist is not being blacklisted from filming.
All of these shows will constantly be testing the cast and crew to make sure they are still coronavirus negative. It will be costly, but not producing new episodes is even more expensive. However, human lives are priceless, and they will do everything they can to protect them.
