April 13th, 2020 under Before They Were Famous, Hilary Duff. [ Comments: none ]

Before Hilary Duff was a publishing agent on Younger, she was a news anchor for Subway. How awwwwdorable was the 11-year-old in that 1999 commercial?

Alex Borstein came in like a wrecking ball with this Passover song

When I was younger, I used to say that they call it Passover because you don’t pass over your food until after the holiday is over. I am not the only person who feels that way, so does Family Guy’s Alex Bornstein. She reworked Miley Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball and turned it into a song for Pesach. Forget Dayenu; this is the song of 8 days.

While that is how I feel about it, my cousin feels this way, “Disgusting Seriously! Just like you and you’re wrong, we don’t all relate at all.” Needless to say, that cousin and I agree on nothing.

9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Lonestar don’t have to call 9-1-1
April 13th, 2020 under Fox, Ryan Murphy. [ Comments: none ]

We are a month away from the possible upfronts, but Fox is not going to wait that long to announce that they picked up two shows for next season. 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Lonestar will both be on the lineup whenever the new seasons starts up.

Is this news a surprise? Far from it. They are both the network’s top scripted shows behind The Masked Singer. The latter is the perfect show during this time since everyone is wearing masks now.

Back to the dramas, I hope Lonestar is wilder like 9-1-1 when it comes back for its second season. It was too serious and too much about their lives. I want them to take on some crazy crap like the original show. That is what makes 9-1-1 so much fun. You never know what Ryan Murphy is going to pull out of his ridiculous hat.

You know how some comic book villains can make fire balls with their hands? Well, Jason Derulo is just as cool as them.

He might be as cool as them, but they are not as hot as him.

Geico has a Ratt problem
April 13th, 2020 under 80s, Ads. [ Comments: none ]

One of my favorite Heavy Metal songs from the ’80s is Round and Round by Ratt. I can listen to that song over and over again as it goes round and round on the record player. Does anyone still have one of those?

As we ponder that, I have also wondered whatever happed to the band. Well, it turns out they are still around and touring. Well, when bands will be able to tour again. Which someone predicted won’t be until the fall of 2021.

Anyways back to Ratt, they need to make money some way, so how are they going to do it? They are going to do a commercial for Geico Insurance. Talk about a great insurance policy. Do you think they get free insurance for doing the advertisement?

Once again, back to the Stephan Percy, Juan Croucier, Peter Holmes, and Jordan Ziff, they can still rock out like it is 1984—the good old days when we could leave our houses and go to concerts.
