Sting has been performing live for over 40 years and he is not going to let a torn tendon stop him from doing shows.

Late last week, he somehow (Tantric Sex?) tore his shoulder tendon and yesterday he had surgery to repair it. Most singers would be like, I am going to stay home (or in the hotel) and recuperate. Not Sting, he is going to do a Queen and the show will go on.

He will continue doing concerts in Europe for the rest of this month, and then he will be flying over to the States to do gigs next month.

Gordon Sumner did not say if he will be playing his guitar while he heals, but it does not look like he will be doing it in that contraption. Then again, who goes to see him to jam on his a guitar? We are going to hear him sing.

Granted, for me, after seeing him three times (once with The Police), I find his concerts very disappointing. I know, I am one of the few who hated his shows.

Having said that, I respect the crap out of him for going on with the show.

Rick Astley has a new album coming out on October 29th and it is full of songs that we know. His songs. However, The Best of Me has a twist. As in, he reimagined several of his tunes including his biggest hits Never Gonna Give You Up and Together Forever.

Today, he released the audio for NGGYU and it so different. Yet, still the same. In a time when so many ’80s singles are getting, what I like to call, the coffee shop treatment. The singer decided to do it to his own song. Which gives it a whole new life for a new generation. It also allows the old one to enjoy a favorite in a new way. A way that has me playing it in a loop.

Jerry O’Connell is a big Prince fan and he is hoping his daughters will love the late the singer as much as he does. Therefore, the other day when the girls were trapped in the car with him, he played When Doves Cry for them. What did Charlie and Dolly think of the iconic single? To put it mildly, they hated it. However, it might not be the tune that caused them to want the actor to shut it off, it might have been his singing. Now we know he is a double threat. Although, have we seen him dance?

Talking about a double threat, everyone take a moment and pray for O’Connell. His twins are at that age where they have turned into teenagers even though are just 10. My friend’s kid is a little younger than them and she already is at that fun stage. At least my friend only has one girl, Jerry has two which means twice the bitchiness. Poor Jerry.

Before Cedric the Entertainer was one of the Kings of Comedy, he was hosting BET’s Comicview. Even when he was 29 years old in 1993, he knew how to make the whole audience laugh until they peed.
