Renee Zellweger says her prosthetic nose got in the way during kissing scenes
September 24th, 2019 under Michael Strahan, Renee Zellweger. [ Comments: none ]

In order for Renee Zellwegger to become Judy Garland, she had to wear a prosthetic nose and that made her kissing scenes awkward.

As we know kissing is naturally awkward enough because noses get in the way. However, it proved to be even more a problem for the actress. She explained to Michael Strahan on Good Morning America today why “I didn’t know this but the prosthetic seems to takes on a life of its own once it’s on there. The glue, mixed with, I guess, your skin’s trying to breathe desperately, it kind of becomes liquified. You know, and it is trying to find a place to go. It is looking for a way to get out.” Then she added, “Sometimes it would be on Finn Wittrock’s face.”

Can you blame the nose, I would rather be on his face too.

Am I the only who never noticed what a thick Southern drawl she had until this interview. Was it always there or is it something new?

The judges now say who gets eliminated on Dancing with the Stars
September 23rd, 2019 under Dancing with the Stars. [ Comments: none ]

This season Dancing with the Stars is changing up a lot of things to get the viewers back. One of the biggest changes was revealed tonight and I think it is going to cost them viewers.

Each week, the audience and the judges have an equal say about who gets voted off. At least they used to. Now, at the end of each episode when the final 2 are revealed, the judges then vote to save one of the couples. The couple with the least amount of votes from the judges is eliminated. Basically, they copied So You Think You Can Dance’s elimination process. How is that working out for the Fox dancing competition? Horribly.

I wish DWTS copied American Idol’s elimination process. As in the judges have no say in who gets eliminated. Especially since Bruno Tonioli, Len Grossman and Carrie Ann Inaba are so biased. It is why I stopped watching. What is the point of having a live show if we have no voice?

I am sure I am not alone. I betcha people are going to be turned off by this change. Especially, since they played a part in the Bobby Bones fiasco. Team Milo Manheim.

What do you think of the change? Does it get a 10 or a 0?

BTWF: Sofia Vergara on Baywatch

Before we knew Sofia Vergara was a huge star, Baywatch knew. She looks the same now as she did when she was 26 in that 1999 episode.

Bluff City Law gives a voice to the voiceless
September 23rd, 2019 under NBC. [ Comments: none ]

https://youtu.be/GpXxdy4Pb6s
The Voice is back on NBC tonight at 8p without Adam Levine for the first time since the show debuted in 2011. How will it be without the Rocker? Tune in to find out.

Then at 10p, Jimmy Smits is back doing law on the other side of the country in Bluff City Law. Sydney Strait (Caitlin McGee) is a tough lawyer, something she gets from her dad. A man she no longer talks to and she really hates.

One day while she is at work, her father, Elijah (Smits), comes to visit her to tell her mom died. She runs home to be with him because she actually liked her mom. While she is home, her dad asks her to help him on a class action suit.

She agrees to do it. Within her first few hours, she comes up with a strategy to win the case. Even though she cannot stand her dad, they make a great team. They are going to do what they can to help their client win. Even if it means going to jail. Which they do.

At the end of the day, she realizes their style is good to help the little guy. While tonight’s episode is good, next week’s episode is a lot better. This legal drama has a promising future ahead of it. It is not your normal legal drama where the lawyers at the firm become like family. This one they really are family. A dysfunctional family, but a family all the same.

Next week’s episode was so good, it stuck with me. I would say the most out of all of the fall screeners thus far. It is that good. I think this show can be the sleeper hit of the year. That is if you tune in, so do it or you will go to jail like the Straits. You won’t, but it sounded like a good way to make you watch.
