Before Goldie Hawn won an Oscar, she was on the variety show Laugh-In. The late ’60s and early ’70s weekly comedy show had people laughing until hurt, and she was one of their brightest stars.
Therefore, you would think that Netflix would have included her in their special Still LAUGH-IN: The Stars Celebrate. However, for some reason, she is not there. While Dick Martin and Dan Rowan have a good excuse for not being part of it (they are no longer with us), there is no excuse for her not being part of it.
While she is not in to laugh, Lily Tomlin, Ruth Buzzi and JoAnne Worley will be. They will be joined by a bunch of people who were born or not even born when it originally aired. People like Neil Patrick Harris, Tiffany Haddish, Chelsea Handler, Taye Diggs, Maria Bamford, Margaret Cho, Ron Funches, Nikki Glaser, Lisa Ann Walter, Mary McCormack, Bobby Moynihan, Cheri Oteri, Rob Riggle, Jeff Ross, Tony Hale and Natasha Leggero.
I wish the networks would bring back variety shows like this and the other ones from the ’60s and ’70s. I used to love watching them in syndication when I was growing up. They taught me how to laugh and we need more laughter in the world.
Halle Berry is no stranger to injuring herself while working on her films and John Wick 3 was no different. The Oscar winner broke three ribs while training for the movie. In fact, she told Craig Melvin on Good Morning America that she was probably walking around with them being broken for five weeks and did not even know it. Then one day, she “dropped to the ground and could not breathe.” She took a little break and then was back at work. You can see all of her hard work next week when the movie comes out.
Like I said this was not her first on-set injury. She suffered a broken arm on Gothika and a broken foot while making Cloud Atlas. I thought I had a lot of broken bones, but she beats me.
Suits is filming its final season and that is not getting the cast down. Yesterday, when they were in the makeup trailer Sarah Rafferty and Rick Hoffman decided to dance to the music that was playing. You know what, it is not too late for them to throw in a dance-filled episode. I would watch.
Especially since Dule Hill can tap dance and Center Stage’s Amanda Schull is a series regular. Can you believe she wants to know why they don’t include her when they dance? I mean, come on, she was a professional ballet dancer, so she would one-up them all. Although, I love Louis and Donna’s moves. Why does Suits have to end? The last season was so very good. Maybe Gabriel Macht is too sad to dance and that is why he only filmed it.
Robin Givens in on vacation in Turks & Caicos and she wore a little red bikini to get some sun. Which makes you wonder how can the Riverdale star be 54 years old because she looks just like the high school students on the show. In fact, you can say she is the head of the class on The CW drama. Don’t you agree?
