The Rolling Stones announce their postponed dates
May 16th, 2019 under Rolling Stones. [ Comments: none ]

Back in March, The Rolling Stones announced they were postponing their North American tour because of Mick Jagger. A week later, the singer had heart surgery. Well, nothing can keep him down and now he is ready to hit the road again next month.

Not only are they playing all of their old dates, but they also added a new one in New Orleans. Not bad for the 75-year-old, less than 3 months going under the knife. I wish I had half his energy and I am half his age.

If you have tickets for the old dates, the band explained how you can keep or get rid of them for the new ones. Tickets sold for the original dates will be honoured – fans do not need to exchange their tickets. Those who cannot attend the re-scheduled date can refund their tickets by accessing their Ticketmaster account. For transferred tickets, the refund will go to the fan who originally bought the tickets, once they have been transferred back.

The CW announced their 2019-2020 schedule today and they made some smart moves.

The first smart move is pairing Batwoman with Supergirl. The second being is letting Arrow go out after The Flash. I wish Supernatural was paired with Nancy Drew for purely selfish reasons. I am curious about the new sleuth show, just wish it was on a night that I watched the show before it. However, I will not check out Charmed after Dynasty. That is a really weird matchup. Then again, The CW does not have anything else like the nighttime soap opera.

SUNDAY
8:00-9:00PM BATWOMAN (New Series)
9:00-10:00PM SUPERGIRL

MONDAY
8:00-9:00PM ALL AMERICAN (New Night)
9:00-10:00PM BLACK LIGHTNING

TUESDAY
8:00-9:00PM THE FLASH
9:00-10:00PM ARROW (New Night)

WEDNESDAY
8:00-9:00PM RIVERDALE
9:00-10:00PM NANCY DREW (New Series)

THURSDAY
8:00-9:00PM SUPERNATURAL
9:00-10:00PM LEGACIES

P!nk’s bronze statue is Lucille Ball bad
May 15th, 2019 under Lucille Ball, Pink. [ Comments: none ]

P!nk is such an extraordinary woman that she is one of the 10 women who is being featured in Statues for Equality in NYC. Which is a huge honor, until you see it.

Her drummer Mark Schulman shared a photo of it being displayed and it reminds me of when we all saw Lucille Ball’s bronze statue in her hometown. As in it looks nothing like the singer. It looks more like Mayor Pete Buttigieg than the Rock star.

What do you think of it? Who do you think it looks like?

The other 9 women who are being honored by Gillie and Marc are Oprah Winfrey, Nicole Kidman, Jane Goodall, Cate Blanchett, Tererai Trent, Janet Mock, Tracy Dyson, Cheryl Strayed and Gabby Douglas. It will be interesting how they turned out.

BTWF: James Holzhauer on The Chase
May 15th, 2019 under Before They Were Famous, Jeopardy. [ Comments: none ]

Before James Holzhauer was on an unbelievable winning streak on Jeopardy, he broke two records on The Chase. He looks the same now as he did when he was 30 in that 2014 episode.
