After months (or years) of rumors that Wendy Williams’ husband is cheating on her, she filed for divorce from him this morning. According to Page Six, he was handed the papers 6:30a.
She and Kevin Hunter had been together for nearly 22 years and have a 19-year-old son together.
The daytime talk show host was very open that even though their marriage was not perfect, they worked hard to stay married. I guess she was sick of working on it, especially since it is rumored he recently had a child with his mistress. Plus, I am sure she has become a lot stronger now that she has spent several weeks away from him in sober living.
No word if she will take another break from her show, but I would not be surprised if she did.
No matter how many Oscars Sean Penn wins or roles he plays, he will most be remembered for one of his earliest roles. Nothing can compare to the greatness of Jeff Spicoli in Fast Times at Ridgemont High!
Yesterday, when the actor was on Conan, O’Brien wanted to know if based the stoner surfer on anyone in particular. He did.
After reading Cameron Crowe’s book, which the film is based on, he immediately thought of someone that was “rhythmically aligned with that character.” That guy was one of the first people he met when he moved to Malibu in 1969.
The TBS host then wanted to know if this guy knew that the ultimate ’80s dude was based on him. Penn said, “I really don’t think so, but part of that, may have had to do, with him, not knowing where he was.”
Now that we have a better image of the man that Penn knew from the time he was 9-17, has he ever seen him since their memorable time, to only one them, on the beach surfing? About 2 months ago, Penn was riding the waves and he ran into a well-spoken family man. Penn couldn’t place him until he told him his name. This businessman was the same man that was the inspiration for Jeff Spicoli.
Which is kind of interesting if you think about it. Penn is more like Spicoli today than the guy who he based the part on. Whoa. Mr. Hand would be so blown away by that.
BTW I am totally watching Fast Times again because of this interview. To me, this is the greatest coming of age movie from the ’80s. Sorry John Hughes, but it is.
I think we can agree that Anderson Cooper is the palest anchor on television and this Sunday he is going to be even whiter than that on 60 Minutes.
The Silver Fox flew to Europe to interview the cast and crew of Game of Thrones and they transformed him into a White Walker. Something he pretty much looks like without the makeup. With the makeup, he looks more like himself, so I am so confused. Can you tell when he is in full gear and when he is not?

Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon left the safe space of 30 Rock where he films The Tonight Show and went to the streets of the Manhattan to dance to Locomotion by Grand Funk Railroad (thank you Shazam because I did not know which version it was) where they were the only ones who could hear the music in hidden earpieces. However they did not go dressed as themselves, instead, they put on some wigs, glasses and NBC page uniforms, and no one knew it was them.
You can tell who are the tourists and who are the New Yorkers. The latter did not even look up while the former stopped to watch. That is NYers for you, nothing surprises us.
Elton John is on his final World tour, but is it too much for him? The 72-year-old singer was seen touring the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy looking sad in a wheelchair. What happened? He explained, “Not even a sprained ankle could keep me away from seeing one of the most beautiful museums in the world.”
Hopefully, he will be better soon because he still has a lot more of his tour to do. If you have never seen him live, now is the last time to see him do it. It is worth the money because I have seen him perform in a huge arena, a converted movie theater and a really small intimate gathering. I will not forget any of those spectacular performances and you will never forget seeing him live too.
