After a week off, Trial & Error is back with two new episodes on NBC at 9p tonight and there is going to be a big development in the case.
Things are not looking good for Lavinia Peck-Foster (Kristin Chenoweth) when Dwayne Reed (Steven Boyer) breaks down on the stand and declares to everyone that she killed her husband. She then tells lawyer aka Josh (Nicholas D’Agosto) that he needs to fire his right hand that fingered her in the courtroom.
Now Josh has to fire him and prove his client did not kill her husband. Will he be able do it? When new evidence presents itself to him, he might be able to get her off. And in more than one way if she has her way.
What happens next you won’t see coming. And that gets us into the second episode, but I cannot tell you anything about it. Well, I can tell you it is funny.
I like shows that make me laugh. When they make me think about why I am laughing and Trial & Error does just that. It is so witty and stupid at the same time, and that is why it is so brilliant. It is in the vain of movies like Airplane and Naked Gun. You will never get all the jokes during the first viewing, so you have to watch it a few times to get them all.
Earlier this week, NBC made the mistake of not ordering a third season of the comedy. That means, it is up for grabs and the show’s creator told me he wants to shop it around to streaming sites like Netflix, Amazon Prime or Hulu. If ever a broadcast show was perfect for binge viewing, it is this one. You can hit that 10 seconds back button and catch that joke you just missed. That or play it again to see if they really said that. They did, FYI.
So tune in tonight for the best comedy you are not watching. If more people watch, then we will get a season 3 and 4 and…
Ten months ago, Julia Louis-Dreyfus revealed that she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Now, less than a year later, and after surgery and chemo to beat it, she is back on the set of Veep looking happy and healthy.
Too bad it is the last season of the show, but she has the rest of her long life to give us more shows as great as this one.
A few weeks ago, Dax Sheppard was on Jimmy Kimmel Live and he revealed that his wife likes to wear gloves in the pool. Yesterday, when Kristen Bell was on the ABC late night she explained why.
If she touches or is touched by pruney skin, it makes her want to hurl. When she told one of her friends about it, that buddy told her about gloves that divers wear in the water to protect their hands. Now, thanks to those gloves, she can touch her children in the pool and not throw up them. Which will save her some money in therapist fees later on.
Kimmel did not want her to feel that she is alone with this phobia, so he created a commercial just for her called Pulgluvia. Now you too can get the gloves that protect you from the nasty touch of wrinkled fingertips.
Actually, even though they joked that she is the only person who suffers from this, a quick Google search will tell she is not. There is no name for it, so I say we name it after her. Let’s call it WetTintinnabulumobia. Tintinnabulum, is the Latin word for bell.
