Tracy Morgan met Morgan Freeman yesterday and the two men became fast friends. Hopefully, such good friends, that they will do a father/son movie together. Can you imagine?
Screw up Tracy takes in his grumpy old dad and the two are complete opposites. Morgan constantly criticizes his bum son and his son keeps biting his tongue as he comes up with evil plans to get rid of his dad. He thinks he can up one his old man, but his father always seems to be one step ahead of him. At the end of the day, they are still a loving father and son. OK, maybe loving is going too far. Either way, it can be highlarious comedy. Especially, if they can get Samuel L Jackson to play Tracy’s uncle and Freeman’s brother-in-law who hates them both. He makes things even more difficult for them while pretending like he is a good guy who loves them both.
Abby Lee Miller has been taken to the hospital twice since she got out of prison and moved to a halfway house late last month; and the second time proved to be almost fatal for her.
According to People, she was diagnosed with a rare spinal infection that left her paralyzed from the neck down. Doctors were perplexed why she lost sensation from the neck down, so they did a CT. It was then that they saw she had an infection that started at her neck and went down her spine. A very rare condition according to Dr. Hooman M. Melamed, her doctor at the hospital.
Once they knew what was going on, they rushed her into a surgery. People says, “The almost five-hour surgery required an 18-inch incision on her back as Melamed had to remove the back part of several vertebrae to back to relieve pressure her spinal cord.”
Since the surgery, she has started to regain feeling in her body, which is a good sign. When it comes to if she will ever walk again, her doctor told the magazine it depends on how she recovers.
Right now, she in the ICU and they are hoping to transfer her to a rehab facility by the end of the week. That is if she does not require another surgery. If all goes well, then she will get physical therapy in rehab and hopefully, she will be back to her old self.
No matter how you feel about the dance teacher turned reality star, please take a moment to pray for her. She is going to need all the prayers she can get so that she can walk again.
A year ago, Josh Groban made his Broadway debut in The Great Comet and this year, he will be hosting the Tony Awards with Sara Bareilles. The actress recently wrapped her run in Waitress and starred as Mary Magdalene in NBC’s live version of Jesus Christ Superstar.
Groban had this to say about the honor, “To be at the helm of a night celebrating the best of that theater with a person (Bareilles) I just laugh way too much with, is beyond words. But I will have words on Tony night! The best words! I look forward to flailing about in front of my peers. It will be with all the love and respect in the world for the room we’re lucky enough to be in.”
Nominations will be announced by Leslie Odom, Jr. and Katharine McPhee on May 1st and the Tonys will air on CBS June 10th.
Rachel Platten is best known for singing Fight Song, but this weekend she had a fight with another song. On Saturday, she was given the honor of singing the National Anthem at the Utah Royals FC’s home debut match in Sandy, Utah, but her nerves got the best of her.
