On my birthday aka April 1, 2018 or as Christians call it Easter Sunday, NBC is going to air Jesus Christ Superstar and today they announced who will be playing King Herod. That fun role is going to The Godfather of Shock Rock or we know him as Alice Cooper. Even though he looks like he worships Satan, he actually grew up in the Church because his father was a preacher. Therefore, this is perfect for him!
Personally, I would have gone with David Hasselhoff because I think of King Herod as cheesy and well, you can see where I am going with that thought. When it comes to Jesus, I would go with Josh Groban because he kind of looks like the messiah. Jason Derulo could really surprise us as Judas because he has a powerful voice. Talking about powerful voice, you really need one to belt out I Don’t Know How to Love Him. Thus, I would cast either Rita Ora or Ariana Grande. But that is me. Who would you cast in the Andrew Lloyd Weber musical?
Fun Fact: Zero Mostel’s son Josh played King Herod in the motion picture version. I did not know that until today.

You know how Terry Crews is known for that awesome jumping pose on the red carpet? Turns out he is not the only one who can do it. Kevin Hart captured Jack Black doing that bitchin’ jump at the Jumanji premiere that only Crew and rockers can do. Not dissing Black, but he is not someone I thought I could do it. But I guess going to the School of Rock taught the Tenacious D singer a thing or 2!
Jimmy Fallon shared a photo with the left side of his face all puffy and red, so what happened? All The Tonight Show host said was, “All new Tonight Show tonight!! Watch me burn my face by getting hot wings sauce dumped on me. #forREAL #FallonTonight on @nbc.” Who knew hot sauce could do that? But then again, poor Jimmy has the worst luck. Hopefully, he will better soon because that looks painful. And I thought it was only painful coming out.
As we know The Goldbergs is based on real life characters from Adam F Goldberg’s life. We have seen them in his home videos and photographs that are included in every episode. While that is the past, it is rare that we see them today. Although recently, we saw the actual Goldbergs at a baseball game in Philadelphia, but what about their friends like JTP (JTP)? Well, they are all in Los Angeles as you read this and Wendi McLendon-Covey posed for this photo with them. Now, which one is Barry Goldberg, Andy Cogan, Madman Schwartz and Naked Rob, I do not know. But I do not care because it is always like totally rad to see the real Golbergs in 2017 and not ’80something.
BTW in case you think that Adam is exaggerating about his sMother Beverly Goldberg, here is what she Tweeted yesterday, “So Barry flew out to LA today along with all the JTP for special get together with the Eagles I’m excited for him but guess what he didn’t call me when he got there what’s up Barry I’m waiting for the call.” I so love her! Who wouldn’t want her as their mom?
