Before Cedric Yarbrough was a sexy bachelor on Speechless, he had a daughter whom he didn’t want to get pregnant in 40-Year-Old Virgin. He looks the same now as he did when he was 31 in that 2003 movie.
JJ is accidentally possessed by an evil spirit this Halloween! Don’t miss a haunting #Speechless tonight at 8:30|7:30c on ABC! pic.twitter.com/tnBGuzuhgy
Tonight at 8:30p on ABC, Speechless gets a Halloween episode that gives The Simpsons: Treehouse of Horror a run for their trick or treating candy!
The DiMeo kids get into a really old bag of candy and that causes them all the hallucinate. First up is JJ (Micah Fowler) who dreams he is Linda Blair from The Exorcist. It all happens when Kenneth (Cedric Yarbrough) accidentally breaks his talking board and replaces it with a haunted Ouija board. Now anyone who uses it sounds like a demon, and JJ is going around terrorizing and killing people. Something his mom (Minnie Driver) does not have a problem with. Since the school does, they decide to do an exorcism on him before the demon is forever trapped inside of him.
Next up, Dylan (Kyla Kenedy) tries the candy and she lives Freaky Friday with Ray (Mason Cook). Ray likes being in Dylan’s body so much, he doesn’t want to switch back. Will she get her body back or will she be inside of her brother forever?
Finally, Ray gets his cut, as in Saw! All night long Maya (Driver) and Jimmy (John Ross Bowie) have been trying to escape to an Escape Room; but since the kids have been sick, they have not been able to go. Finally, everyone is OK enough to go but there is a slight problem. A Jigsaw is controlling the game and will not let them leave. Not only that, he is having torturing him. Will they get out of there alive? Who is behind the Jigsaw mask?
Did I mention that we see Kevin dress up perfectly as at least 7 Michael Jacksons throughout the Black and White years?
Tonight’s episode is such Thriller; I hope it becomes an annual treat. I will also suggest you to record this episode because you will be saying Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough and you won’t want to Beat It anytime soon.
Tonight at 8p on ABC, The Goldbergs airs its 100th episode. Ever since episode 1, we have seen Jeff Garlin in his underwear. Which is probably why no one gave him a second look when he was walking around Sony Studio in just a T-Shirt, his tighty whities and black socks. Although, since it is around 100 degrees here in LA today, you might say he is overdressed.
When it comes to The Goldbergs, I am so happy it made it to 100 episodes because I have loved this family sitcom since I first saw the pilot. I knew it was going to be a hit even though the critics didn’t see what I saw in it. Eventually they came around and now it has become ABC’s second biggest sitcom. That and it is a huge fan favorite, whether you were alive in ’80something or not.
Thank you Adam F Goldberg for sharing your scrumptious family with us!
Back in 1957, Leave It to Beaver debuted and it has been airing ever since. Making it one of the longest running shows on television. Even though it has been 60 years since the show first hit the airwaves, Beaver and his brother Wally are still talking about it. Jerry Mathers, 69, and Tony Dow, 72, were on Today and also on Today with Kathie Lee and Hoda to talk about the family sitcom that forever made them household names.
Did you know that show was on more than one network? Its first season aired on CBS and the remaining 5 were on ABC. A Variety critic said if the show lasted for more than 2 weeks, he would eat his hat. No word how the hat tasted. Also the actors revealed that their TV father, Hugh Beaumont, was working as a Methodist minister at the time and only became an actor to pay the bills. No wonder the show had and still has the wholesome feel.
But the best thing to came out of this interview was seeing how close the TV brothers are even after all of these decades. To me, when a show’s cast is still gets along years after the show has ended, it explains why the show is still a sucess even after it has been cancelled.
As we know Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen play themselves on Curb Your Enthusiasm. But did you know that they are separated on the show this season? Does that mean that the couple, who have been married for 22 years, are also separated in real life? Danson cleared up the rumors yesterday and told Jimmy Kimmel that they are very much together. Even though he forgot to tell his wife about that story arc before she got to set. That is grounds for divorce, don’t you think? Joking! I love this couple so much because they are so sweet together. Plus, they are on two my favorite current sitcoms, The Good Place and The Last Man on Earth.
