The other night when Billy Joel was playing Madison Square Garden, he was joined on stage by Patty Smyth. Then the Piano Man starting playing her huge hit Goodbye to You and The Warrior started singing her tune. It is as though it is the early ’80s all over again because not only does the 60-year-old singer sound just like she did then but she also looks exactly the same. Time for her to go back on the road with Scandal because we have been missing her voice. Don’t you just love it?
On the love note, did you know that she has been married to tennis legend John McEnroe for 20 years? How did I not know that until today?
Any parent, who has a baby, knows that swaddling is the best thing ever because it soothes your child to sleep. Now adults are hiring people to swaddle them to relieve the stress of their day. Today on Today, they decided to see if that method works as well on adults as it does infants.
Since Savannah Guthrie has two kids under three, she was the perfect person to be the swaddler and Matt Lauer was the right one to be swaddled. Lauer lied on the floor as his co-anchor wrapped him up like a burrito. When she was done, he was stuck inside. No word if anyone unwrapped him, but I highly doubt it. Who would want to set him free?
Tom Cruise’s career was made when he slid his way into our hearts wearing just a shirt, his tighty whities and socks while dancing to Bob Seger’s Old Time Rock and Roll in Risky Business. We loved the way that he perfectly stopped midway through the passageway. Well yesterday, Conan O’Brien got his hands on the never-before-seen video of him trying and failing to do that move. Who knew he needed so many takes? It is definitely not the perfect daredevil we know today. Almost perfect because he did just break his ankle in a stunt gone wrong.

Lady Gaga might only be Five Foot Two in stature, but her career is a giant. What goes on in her life when she is not in front of her Little Monsters? All will be revealed on September 22nd when her documentary is globally released on Netflix.
The streaming service described it as, “Emmy-nominated filmmaker Chris Moukarbel (Banksy Does New York) pulls back the curtain to introduce the woman behind the performer, the costumes, the glitz and the glamour. Off-stage, in the studio, unplugged and at home, audiences get an unguarded glimpse at Gaga through a series of personal highs and lows and the culmination of a year’s emotional journey. From struggles with relationships to health issues, from finding solace in her inner circle to conquering her insecurities, Gaga: Five Foot Two navigates the divide between life as a superstar and life as an everyday woman.”
You can tell that there is so much more to Mama Monster than meets the eyes, so my eyes are looking forward to seeing what she is like behind the scenes.
Katy Perry’s debut album was full of hits, her latest is full of misses. Here’s her latest miss, Swish Swish, with a music video that is more a foul than a slam dunk. I do not know what is worse, the song or the video because they are both hideous. Perry’s career might be a joke now, but the singer is no comedian. The California Gurl might think she is funny, but alas she is not. Therefore, we are left laughing at her and not with her.
Thankfully, we will only be talking about Swish Swish for a few more hours because once Taylor Swift’s new single comes out, we will all be going Katy Perry who? Which makes you wonder if Swift purposely released her new tune today to steal her enemy’s thunder?
Finally back to Swish Swish, how is that a star-studded video when we do not know who most of those stars are?
