Is Ellen DeGeneres too sexy for daytime?
May 3rd, 2017 under Ellen DeGeneres. [ Comments: none ]

Believe it or not television has rules for what you can and cannot show during a daytime talk show and a nighttime one. The daytime one has to be a lot more family friendly because kids might see something they shouldn’t. Even though daytime dramas is how I learned about sex! Well that and HBO and Skinamax.

Anyways, you might not have realized this because I didn’t, but Ellen DeGeneres has a lot of not safe for daytime TV moments on her show. So much so, Magic Mike’s wife Jenna Dewan wrote a song about it called, Too Sexy for Daytime and showed clips from the show throughout the years. All I have to say to that is I have added Ellen to my DVR list because I do not want to miss Ashton Kutcher completely naked again! Who knew this show was so racy? I like it, I really like it!

Ayyyy! The Happy Days gang sit on it for Erin Moran!
May 3rd, 2017 under Marion Ross, Reunions. [ Comments: none ]

via People
On April 22nd, Erin Moran passed away from 4th stage cancer and yesterday her Happy Days co-stars got together to remember her at Cathy Silvers’ house. Jenny Piccollo had Joanie’s brother Richie aka Ron Howard, her crush Potsie aka Anson Williams, her mom Marion Ross, her friend Ralph Malph aka Donny Most and her husband Chachi aka Scott Baio over to celebrate their friends’ life.

Proving that this show has a bond that went above and beyond their filming days. They are still friends even though the show ended almost a third of a century ago. That chemistry is why we are still watching after all of these decades. Just like them, it never gets old.

This isn’t the first time that Silvers’ honored her friend, last week she had Bewitched’s Erin Murphy and The Brady Bunch’s Susan Olsen over to talk about the late actress.

These friendships show us just how special Erin Moran was to all of these people even after all of these years. She was as special to them as she was to us growing up and watching our favorite little sister grow up during Happy Days!

Is Mike Meyers alter ego hosting The Gong Show?
May 3rd, 2017 under ABC. [ Comments: none ]

Last week, ABC announced that British comedian Tommy Maitland is going to host The Gong Show and we were like who? Then yesterday, the game show’s Executive Producer Will Arnett was filling in as host on Jimmy Kimmel Live and he introduced us to his find.

When I saw him on the show, I thought his face looked more plastic than the people on Botched and Dr Miami. It wasn’t only that, I didn’t particularly like his humor. Therefore, I was wondering what the hell ABC was thinking.

So when I woke up this morning, I decided to see who he was. That is why I saw a lot of people are speculating that he is Mike Meyers in disguise. Then I watched the interview and I heard Austin Powers’ voice coming through. Yeah, baby! In conclusion, I also think it is the Love Guru, do you too?

What do I think of his alter ego hosting the show that premieres on June 22nd? I would rather they put a paper bag on his head and say that the Unknown Comic was the MC. To me this is a gimmick they didn’t need. It would do well on its own and doesn’t need this. Plus, what’s the point of having Mike Meyers host the show and not have Mike Meyers do it? Could you imagine the ratings if they just did that. It is not like Maitland is established as Tony Clifton was to Andy Kaufman, so I don’t think people will like it. And like Clifton, he is not likable.

This is as wacky of an idea as when the late Chuck Barris, who created and hosted the original version, claimed he was a CIA Assassin.

When newspeople get buggy!

Sometimes newpeople bug us and sometimes the bugs bug them. News Be Funny put together this buzzworthy compilation of the best bug attacks on reporters, anchors and weathercasters. Some of the insects were swallowed, but others bit back and yet others attacked the humans. Some of the wingless were cool about it, while others completely bugged out. There were screamers, laughers and even some criers. All in all, they were all funny. Especially because it didn’t happen to us!

This Honest Trailer for La La Land is brutally honest!
May 3rd, 2017 under Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling. [ Comments: none ]

Last month, I was stuck on a JetBlue (where they don’t kick you off if they overbook) flight and one of the movies (for free) they were showing was La La Land (the price was right). Although, I try to avoid Oscars movies, I still opted to watch the Oscars Best Picture. Oh wait. I like Musicals, so I said why not give it a try and find out what all the hoopla was about. It was a much ado about nothing.

Thus, when I saw that Screen Junkies took it on as one of their Honest Trailers, I had to see how honest they would be with it. They were very honest. The best critique is when they said, “Proves it is easier to teach a world class singer (John Legend) how to act, then two world class actors (Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone) how to sing.” Which perfectly sums up this film that starts off with a great opening number and goes down faster than the Titanic (which really won Best Picture at the Oscars) did.

What also makes this Honest Trailer so swell, is the little side trip they take to Moonlight 3/4 of the way through! It is a perfect tribute to Hollywood’s Biggest Night’s biggest gaffe in its history.
