Before there was Degrassi: The Next Generation, there was the original generation. This weekend 5 of those cast members reunited at Toronto’s Comic-Con and we got these wonderful photos of them together.
How much fun is it to see Pat Mastroianni aka Joey, Stefan Brogren aka Snake, Stacie Mistysyn aka Caitlin, Kirsten Bourne aka Tess and Dan Woods aka Mr Raditch together again. Yes, we saw them together again a few times when Degrassi: TNG premiered, but they were sharing the spotlight with the new students at Degrassi. It is about time they got their own show. Degrassi: The First Generation. Netflix can add it to their lineup with the new Degrassi episodes and it can be a lot more real than it was on PBS back in the ’80s.
Only sad part is there will never a be a Zit Remedy reunion. RIP Neil Hope aka Wheels.
If you have never seen the original Degrassi episodes, you need to find them. It was the best show ever done for teens and adults could enjoy and learn something from it too.
As we know, Josh Groban has a very loyal fan base called Grobanites. They will follow him every where he goes and that is why they have been traveling to New York City to see him in the Broadway Show The Great Comet. They want him to know they were there, so they have been leaving their mark. As in, the poster on the door to the theater is covered with lipstick kisses as you can see in this photo that Lily Innella shared with him.
How did Grobs react to being SWAK, he said, “Yes, Pierre can’t believe it. 😳#ohhowheblushes” Blush away sir, you deserve it.
As someone who grew up in New York and went to several Broadway shows, no way I would kiss anything on the Great White Way. But then again, when I was growing up there were different types of ladies who walked those streets.
Over the weekend, Katy Perry spoke at the Human Rights Campaign Gala Dinner and she revealed that she did more than she did in the title of her first hit. The Pop singer talked about her lyrics, “For instance, I kissed a girl and I liked it. Truth be told, A. I did more than that.” Then she continued on with her speech, “But B. How was I going to reconcile that with a Gospel singing girl raised in youth groups that were pro conversion camps. What I did know I was curious and even then I knew sexuality wasn’t as black and white as this dress [I am wearing.]”
That is why when she released her song in 2008, she knew she started conversation that people were singing along with to this day.
As she kept on revealing stuff about her very religious upbringing, she says that she would, “Pray the Gay away,” at the Jesus camps. Then she met people who were outside her bubble and they popped what she knew.
Now she wants equality for all. She told people to listen to the little voices in our head and not the ones on their televisions and other bad influences to you.
Who knew she was so deep? I always thought of the California Gurl as just Pop manufacturing, but turns out she is more than that. Now, let’s hope she keeps talking and getting the word out there through her music that everyone is free to love whomever they want to love.
For decades, we always thought that Alfonso Ribeiro didn’t have any rhythm because of the dance he did on Fresh Prince of Bel Air, but turns out he can charm the pants off of a girl with the way he moves his hips.
Yes, he won Dancing with the Stars, but that only shows off choreographed moves. Yes, he was The Tap Dance Kid, but that shows off his feet. Yes, he did break dancing with Michael Jackson, but that is a stiffer type of movement than what he just did with Charo. Who knew he could move his torso like that? I can’t stop looking at his silver spoon area. Seriously, aren’t you impressed?
Now, when it comes to Charo and him, I hope he rubbed his mirrorball trophy on her for good luck because I want to see her Cuchi Cuchi win this season of the ABC dancing reality competition show that starts tonight!
