Did CBS pull the plug on both medical dramas?
November 30th, 2016 under CBS. [ Comments: none ]

CBS has 8 comedies, more procedurals than I care to count and 2 medical dramas. But that is all about to change. Come this Spring both Code Black and Pure Genius are off the lineup. The freshman show is no surprise, but the sophomore one is. It seemed like adding Rob Lowe was helping them, but I guess not enough. Making it look like CBS is signing a DNR for it.
Another surprise is the overrated McGuyver will not air in May. That is normally a sign that show won’t be back for another season. Anything can happen because I would be surprised if they bring back Elementary for a 6th season. I am shocked that Doubt, a legal drama, didn’t get the Sunday at 10p slot. It is a perfect fit with Madam Secretary. Much better than with Criminal Minds, but what do I know. On the Criminal Minds front, where is that spinoff Beyond Borders?
When it comes to Training Day, it is the only pilot I shut off after 5 minutes and won’t be tuning in to see how it ends.
Oh and here is the new lineup with all of the changes. How do you feel about it?

Matthew Broderick is Sex Degrees of Separation from Kevin Bacon
November 30th, 2016 under Andy Cohen, Kevin Bacon. [ Comments: none ]

Even though Kyra Sedgwick & Kevin Bacon and Matthew Broderick & Sarah Jessica Parker have been married to their significant others for like ever, turns out a member of each couple used to date the other one.
Sedgwick and Broderick admitted to Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live yesterday that they actually, sort of dated, for years when they were in high school. So what does that make Ferris Bueller to the actor everyone is Six Degrees of Separation from?

This parrot sings Sia better than Sia
November 30th, 2016 under Animals, Sia. [ Comments: none ]

There is an owner who listened to Sia’s Chandelier so much that their parrot can now sing it perfectly. So perfectly, I would pay to see it do it live. Granted, it would probably cost me a lot of crackers because I hear that is what those birds like!

In Kensington, Canada, DUIs come with a punishment worse than death!
November 30th, 2016 under Admirable People. [ Comments: none ]

You ask what can be worse than death? How about in Kensington, Canada, they make people who are arrested for DUI listen to Nickleback as punishment.
Since it is the season to drink at holiday parties and drive home, they don’t want the people of their city to do that. Therefore they came up with a plan to prevent that from happening. Get arrested for driving under the influence and you will suffer the wrath of having to listen to Nickleback as you sober up behind bars. Talking about really needing a drink and a getaway car.
But seriously, it is a great idea in order to prevent alcohol related accidents from happening.
Why did they chose their national joke’s music for torture instead of their other one Justin Bieber? They picked them because Chad Kroger was arrested for DUI.
And remember if you are too drunk to drive, then call a cab or ask someone to pick you up. This way you can unwrap presents under the tree with your loved ones this year and every year moving forward. If you are really good, then Santa won’t leave a Nickleback CD in your stocking. That is worse than getting coal in there.

Just when you thought NBC would get rid of Matt Lauer…
November 30th, 2016 under TV News. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZvNQmQ1IaE
Matt Lauer’s contract with Today was up and, believe it or not, NBC renewed it through 2018 according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Although, he is a lot less annoying these days, so I don’t mind him as much. Granted I don’t watch, so it doesn’t effect me that much.
Plus, with the loss of Trump’s sex talk partner, they don’t have a replacement for him. Not that Bush ever would’ve been one, but still they are down a man.
How do you feel about his renewal?
