Tonight at 10p on NBC, This Is Us is going to tug at your heartstrings and you are not going to want it to let go.
I have 2 friends, who are born on the same day in different years, and they are so much alike. I always wondered if there was a likeness to people who are born on the same day. This is Us tells the story of 4 people who all share the same day of birth.
It is Jack’s (Milo Ventimiglia) birthday and his wife Rebecca (Mandy Moore) is ready to give him his birthday present, sex. But when her water breaks, it is time for her to go to the hospital to deliver their triplets. There are complications because it is a high risk pregnancy, but her husband will be on her side the whole time as she prepares to give him his other 3 presents.
Then there is Kevin (Justin Hartley), an actor working on a sitcom, and he hates the show. He is over it and with today being his birthday, he doesn’t know how more he can take.
His twin sister Kate (Chrissy Metz) can’t take being over weight more and she just wishes she can lose the extra pounds. Thankfully, she has her brother to support her, and he has her to support him.
Finally, there is Randall (Sterling K Brown), he was abandoned at a fire station the day he was born. After 36 years, he has decided to find his father. When he does, they will have a heartfelt one on one that will change them both.
These people share the same birthday and we will enjoy sharing their lives starting tonight.
To give you a hint how much the critics loved this show, the pilot has been out since the end of May and no one has leaked the twist at the end. I think that says it all. We want you to adore this show as much as us.
The screaming you heard today was when someone heard that Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt after just two years of marriage and 6 kids. It is the latter that People is reporting as the cause of filing. She is reportedly putting the kids’ needs ahead of her marriage.
A marriage we thought would last, but it did not.
As the days go one we learn more and I am sure it will get worse before it gets better.
Howie Mandel loves his granddaughter so much, he will do anything for her. Including dressing up like Elsa from Frozen. I can’t think of anything more precious than than, can you? Proving not only does he have talent, he also has a beautiful heart that makes him the Greatest Grandfather any kid could wish for. And we can’t Let It Go, let it go.

Ever since James Corden started filming his show on the CBS Television City lot about two years ago, there has been a big billboard of his face for everyone to see. But then the tides changed and they replaced his mug with Michael Weatherly’s. Well The Late Late Show host called Bull on that and got one of his writers to help him reclaim what is rightfully his. The two men waited until the lights went out, scaled up the building with some spray paint and left their mark on the sign.
Once again, Corden’s name is up there for everyone to see. For how long, I Doubt for much longer because when that show gets a launch date, so will its billboard in that same spot.
I love Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt, but Passengers looks just awful. Who wants to watch two people, no matter how likable they are, trapped on a spaceship about to explode. At least, I can’t see people wanting to spend their Christmas seeing it. Maybe they would watch it on a Saturday night on Syfy, but not spending $15 on it.
