Seven years and four days after Royal Pains debuted on USA, the medical drama is hitting a major milestone. Tonight at 10p, HankMed celebrates it’s 100th episode and what an episode it is.
When Hampton Heritage is suffering from a doctor shortage in the ER due to a summer cold outbreak, Hank (Mark Feuerstein) convinces his brother Evan (Paulo Costanzo), who is CEO of the hospital, to let him fill in for the day. At first it seems like a challenge for Hank to once again deal with the hustle and bustle of fast-paced Emergency Room, but then his knowledge of being a Concierge Doctor helps save a patient’s life.
Just when it seems like things are on the up and up for everyone; Evan quarantines a man, that recently visited Sierra Leone, who came into the ER with a fever. Does he have Ebola? How will the hospital deal with being on lock down? The decision will lead to Hank and Evan getting into a much needed, heated argument.
Meanwhile Divya (Reshma Shetty) is dealing with a case from the past. A patient she thought was better, turns out to be sicker than she thought. But that isn’t the only problem that she has with her patient.
While she is having it kind of rough with her patient, Jeremiah’s (Ben Shenkman) is a dream come true. One that gives him better insight into himself through her.
Finally, you can’t have a 100th episode without a blast from the past. One that seems to be setting things up for the series finale in a few weeks.
Royal Pains has been such a wonderful heartfelt show that it is great to see one of the good ones hit this magical milestone. In cable it is rare, but this show deserved it. And it got an episode fitting for its celebration.
So tune in for an episode that doesn’t disappoint, not that any of their episodes ever do.
Salma Hayek was on The Graham Norton Show and he asked her if she has met anyone who has tattoo of her on their body. She told him that she has, but the strangest experience was that with Danny Trejo. Back in the mid-’90s she did a little film with Danny Trejo called From Dusk to Dawn.
It was her first film and one of his first after he got out of prison. The crew had warned her about his past, so she “was a little bit afraid” to meet him at first. Then she described what happened when she did, she said, “He saw me and he ran towards me and ripped his shirt off. And he said, ‘I knew you before I knew you. I dreamt you before I knew you.'” Then she explained why he said that, “Sure enough, there was a picture of a woman that looks exactly like me. The body was a little bit better, but let’s pretend, exactly like me on his chest.” Then she added, he told her, “‘I just got out of jail and I am happy. But for you I would rob another bank!”
I bet never in his wildest dreams, when he was sitting there doing time, inking that tattoo on his chest, that as soon as he got out, he would meet the inspiration for that beautiful woman. But he did and he didn’t have to rob another bank to meet her. He just had to become an actor and do a movie with her. Talk about the American Dream!

Todrick Hall has taken the track lists of Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj and Rhianna to create one epic song of their catalogues and now he is doing the same for Britney Spears. He took several of her tunes to tell the story of Beauty and the Beast and it is far from being a Beast. In fact, I can’t remember any other time that her music was such a Beauty as it is here. So Be Our Guest and watch this 7 minute tribute to the ’90s biggest Pop star from, to me, my biggest musical star of the last decade.
Seriously, why isn’t this guy taking home more awards because I sincerely think he is the most talented musician of today.
NBC has spent a lot of time building up Dick Wolf’s Chicago shows that they have completely forgotten about the Law & Order franchise. Looks like that is all about to change because yesterday on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the CBS show debuted the trailer for Jude Law & Order. It looks like it will be the biggest new show of the year.
Who wouldn’t want to watch him playing every role on the show? I know I do.
Plus, who knew he could do better New Yawk accent than most New Yawkers, including me.
The Rock is touring the world to promote his movie Central Intelligence with Kevin Hart and he only packed one bag for the road. Not a small bag, but one that could comfortably hold his co-star, his clothes for a month, toiletries for everyone and the kitchen sink. Since DJ is so strong, he also makes it look like it weighs nothing when it probably weighs a ton. Which is completely the opposite of how I look when I travel. I look like the Hunchback of Notre Dame.
