Chris Rock hosted the Oscars back in 2005, and for some reason the Academy wants him back. According to Robot Butt, AMPAS wanted Jimmy Fallon, Ellen DeGeneres or Amy Schumer to host, but the latter turned it down. Moving down their list they decided to ask Rock to return as the MC and are reportedly in talks with him to do it.
I don’t get it. He hasn’t been relevant since the last time he hosted and he sucked when he had the job back then.
I could be so against it because I really wanted The Rock and Kevin Hart to do it. Not only are they perfect choice, but they have a movie out around the same time. They are relevant unlike Rock.
What do you think of Rock hosting the Oscars again? And did you even remember he hosted the Oscars once upon a time?
UPDATE: AMPAS confirmed he’s hosting the Oscars this year.

While 2 new fall dramas, NBC’s Blindspot and ABC’s Quantico, were given full season orders already, up until now no new fall comedy was able to say the same thing. That has all changed because Dr Ken was prescribed the back 9 episodes today.
The news is not a surprise because it’s the first sitcom to build on its lead in, Last Man Standing, since the Tim Allen show moved to Fridays 2 years ago. Not only that, the Ken Jeong show has held up in the ratings during it’s first three weeks.
When you take the important ratings out of the mix, the pickup is well deserved. They say laughter is the best medicine and Dr Ken is full of laughs.
NYers have certain impressions of LAers and LAers have their impressions of NYers. Why, we don’t know, but the feeling is innate. In fact, Jimmy Kimmel Live proved that yesterday when they asked kids on each coast what that though of people on the other coast.
As someone who grew up in NYC and currently lives in Los Angeles, I want to say that all the stereotypes about both cities is true. Although the Mets are a much better team than the Dodgers, that’s why we kicked their a$$es last week.
And talking about opposite coasts, JKL took his show from Hollywood to Brooklyn this week. While they were there the ABC late night host and his sidekick Guillermo took ballet lessons from American Ballet Theater’s Misty Copeland. The Prima Ballerina will never be the same, and neither will I after seeing those two men in a tutu. My eyes.

Donald Trump’s hairdo has been mocked as long as we can remember, so it is about time he changed it up. Celebrity hairstylist Rene Fris gave the mogul 8 different looks he can chose from and I think he should just shave that thing off. Which hairstyle do you think makes him look better? I would say Presidential, but who wants him to be President? I know I don’t.
Josh Peck might be able to attract people at a fan event for Drake & Josh, but he repels them on the dance floor.
The Grandfathered father posted a video of himself doing a Billy Idol as in Dancing with Myself (yes I know that is not what the Rocker meant, anyways) and it’s obvious why he is alone. Hopefully his TV dad, John Stamos, can show how to shake hips that will make people want to do the Hustle with him as compared to hustling away. Or they will want to do the Electric Slide with him as compared to slide away from him. Or do the Time Warp with him instead warp time to get away from him. Or do the Ney Ney with him instead of wishing they had a Whip to use on him. What else do you have?
BTW you can see him do what he does best tonight at 8p on Fox, you know acting in Granfathered.
