Less than a week after the season finale of The Carmichael Show aired, NBC announced that they were picking up the hilarious show for a second season. No word when it will be back, but I am sure we will see it sooner rather than later.
The Carmichael Show was a breath of fresh air, it had the feel of Norman Lear’s comedies, but with a modern vibe. Plus, the cast was all brilliant in it. Loretta Divine was born to play this role and David Alan Grier is extremely likable as the dad. When it comes to the lead, Jerrod Carmichael is perfect as himself. Seriously though, there is nothing negative to say about this show, except that we only got a 6 episode first season.
If you missed out on the show when it aired, you can watch the whole season on NBC.com, the NBC app and NBC OnDemand. If you have seen it, then you can watch it again on all of the above. You know you want to, so that you can catch all the jokes you missed the first time you watched it.
While the news is happy for The Carmichael Show, Mr Robinson got some bad news. Class was permanently dismissed. Sadly, that sitcom had a rough beginning, but eventually it did find its groove in the last two episodes. Which was too late to save it.
Since All My Children ended, we have not seen Susan Lucci in a bubble bath. Even though, Erica Kane is 68 years old, she can still make every bubble in that bubble bath pop. In fact, she can also still make every men’s, you know what, still pop.
Seriously, like a fine wine, the Queen of Daytime, only gets better with age.
Stephen King is our modern day William Shakespeare, and who wouldn’t love to have writing tips from the horror master? Stephen Colbert got him to do just that on The Late Show on Friday. What are his tips? You just have to watch and learn. Then you will be grateful he is a writer and not an artist because that would be a real horror if he were one.

Mark Cuban played the President of the United States in Sharknado 3 and he told CNBC that he thinks it would be fun to run for the real office. Before you are like that is all we need during this election, he is not planning on running, just yet. But if he were to, he thinks he’d be a slam dunk for the position. He told them, he would crush Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump in the poles if he ran as a Democrat. I swear, I thought he was Republican.
I hate to say it, but I would probably vote for him. He is a blowhard, but he is not as much of an egomaniac as Trump. Plus, he really knows business. How to control himself during a basketball game is another story, but he does know business.
What is really funny about the timing of this announcement, is that hours after emailing CNBC, he Tweeted to Trump, “@realDonaldTrump have a great event tonight @AACenter. The buzz in Dallas is amazing. You will crush it !” He means you will crush it, as long as I don’t run against you.
Would you vote for him?
