After months of speculation on who would replace Donald Trump on The Celebrity Apprentice, NBC finally named his replacement. The new head of the boardroom will be a real Terminator because it is Arnold Schwarzenegger. So basically they got a politician to replace a businessman who is trying to be a politician. And the two things that both men have in common is neither one has experience doing the other ones job. So it will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
When it comes to what Arnuld’s catchphrase will be when he fires someone, I bet you, he will tell that celebrity, “Hasta la vista, baby!”
No word when the show will be back, but to paraphrase the former California Governor, it’ll be back.
Do you think NBC made the right choice by telling him, “You’re hired?”
BTW here is what Trump had to say about the hiring, “Congrats to my friend @Schwarzenegger who is doing next season’s Celebrity Apprentice. He’ll be great & will raise lots of $ for charity.”
Back in 1988, Oprah Winfrey had Donald Trump on her show and she asked him if he would ever run for President. He told her, “Probably not.” Then when she asked him why, he told her, “I just don’t think, I really have the inclination to do it. I love what I am doing. I really like it.” But then he added, “I do get tired of seeing what is happening with this country. And if it got so bad, I would never want to rule it out totally.” Now 27 years later, he felt things are bad enough in this country that he is running for President.
As the show went on, she asked him about telling her that if he ran he would win. He responded by saying, “I think I’d win. I tell you what, I wouldn’t go in to lose. I have never gone in to lose in my life.”? Then he added, “I think I have a helluva chance of winning.”
Is he his own Nostradamus? I pray not. He scares the crap out of me. Because as you can see from this interview in 1988, he is still as pompous today as he was then. He thinks he always right and he isn’t. If he hasn’t changed in 27 years, how can we expect him to run the country when sometimes you are going to be told no by Congress, Senate and most importantly the People? You can’t.
And yes, his horrible hairstyle hasn’t changed in 27 years either. If he can’t see how bad his hairdo is in all of this time, how can we expect him to see how bad he would be for this country if he won. What President in our lifetime has had bad hair? It is important to have good hair if you are going to be the President of the United States. People need to look up to you and just not look at your hair and wonder what the hell is going on in there?
M Night Shyamalan’s movies are all about the twists and turns out he even has twists when he does talk show interviews. Case in point, he was Late Night with Seth Meyers on Friday and there was a twist at the end of their chat. Did you find it as disappointing as the ones in all of his films since The Sixth Sense or did he finally get another one right? Watch and tell me!
Chris Hardwick might be the Nedist, but that doesn’t mean he can’t land a model. The @midnight host proposed to Lydia Hearst and she said yes. He got down on one knee (I am assuming) and put her grandmother’s exquisite ring on her finger.
While Heart got a diamond yesterday, Hardwick got some gold because he won an award at the Creative Emmys. Even though he got the Emmy, he said, “My biggest win of the night was actually @lydiahearst saying YES!!!!” How could she say no that?
The two of them started dating the end of last year.
