James Corden takes his Grease-y act to the streets.
April 8th, 2015 under James Corden. [ Comments: none ]

James Corden is changing up late night with The Late Late Show and yesterday he decided to change up how we see musical shows. Instead of doing it in a theater, he took it to the streets of Los Angeles. Literally! He got a group of people together and they performed some of the songs from Grease in the crosswalk outside of his CBS’s studios in TV City.
The drivers liked the free show until the light turned green, then they weren’t so happy because that is a very busy intersection.
Luckily Corden survived to do another talk show on CBS because in other cities, his gang and him would’ve sang their last note before they even got to the finale.

Hi, I’m Rob Lowe and I’m out of work Rob Lowe from DirecTV

It is a sad day in the advertising because Comcast’s complaints reportedly got DirecTV to pull their Rob Lowe ad campaign. According to CNBC, the Council of Better Business Bureaus’ National Advertising Division ruled against DirecTV, saying that some of the claims in their commercials are false, and because of that they had no choice but to pull the advertisements for the time being. I say for the time being because they plan on appealing the decision. I hope they win because I really enjoyed Rob Lowe and all of his alter egos.
Talking about the Brat Packer, here’s what he said about it on Twitter, “Recent events have underlined my belief that for something to be truly original, funny and subversive, there must also be fallout. #Life”

Do you want a Golden Girls Lego set?
April 8th, 2015 under Betty White. [ Comments: none ]

Have you ever wished you could be one of The Golden Girls? Well, now you can sort of be the fifth roommate if you vote for Lego to make a plastic version of Dorothy, Blanche, Rose, Sophia and their Miami home minus the lanai. You can recreate scenes from the legendary show or just sit and have a piece of cheesecake with the girls. Either way it’s a dream come true. So let’s make it a reality and tell Lego
we want this box set!
I know I will be there on day one to buy my box if we can make this happen!
To see some of the difference memorable scenes that they have been recreated (including the one with George Clooney), then click here!

Someone dropped thousands of The Interview DVDs into North Korea
April 8th, 2015 under James Franco. [ Comments: 1 ]

So remember those rumors that North Korea allegedly hacked into Sony so that they wouldn’t release The Interview. Well, it didn’t work and the movie was not only released in theaters and online, it was also released on DVD. An activist in South Korea sent balloons over the border with not only the DVDs but also with bundles of dollar bills and political leaflets attacking the leader of the country. According to The New York Times Lee Min-bok was not a fan of the movie because he thought some of the scenes were too vulgar, but he thought it was important for the neighboring country to see their leader get assassinated. Only problem is that the paper adds most of the people there probably do not have the means to watch the movie because they don’t own DVD players.
Which is sad because, shockingly, the film wasn’t that bad. I laughed a lot more than I thought I would and I didn’t think I would laugh at all.
