Gotham and Sleepy Hollow will make you love Mondays!
September 22nd, 2014 under Uncategorized. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 8p, Gotham, the most anticipated new show of the season debuts on Fox and you won’t be disappointed.
Gotham is the prequel to Batman, so the city’s most notorious residents are basically unknowns. We will see their backstories come to life as we watch Bruce Wayne grow up to be a man, Batman to be exact.
I am not a Caped Crusader aficionado, but I was still able to spot many of the characters without their famous looks. That makes the show so much fun for newbies like me and fans alike.
Before James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) was the commissioner, he just got promoted to detective. The city is corrupt and so is his partner, Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue). Although, there might be some redeeming qualities to him.
The two of them have just been partnered up and their first case is a murder. It is a high profile one because the murdered couple are two Gotham’s wealthiest people, Thomas and Martha Wayne. Their 12-year-old son, Bruce (David Mazouz), witnessed the shooting and he is the only survivor. Gordon promises the future superhero that he will do everything in his power to capture this guy.
For Gordon, that means his partner and him will go to Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) for help. She has a deal with the department, she works with them and they let her get away with a lot. She doesn’t work alone, and several of the villains we know get their start with her. The first one you will recognize is Oswald Cobblepot played by Robin Lord Taylor. Taylor’s portrayal of Penguin is so spot on that by the end of the episode you will be saying that he is the break out male star of the season.
I don’t want to tell you too much more because I want you to watch this as kid reading a comic book for the first time.
Gotham truly is like you are watching a movie every week, but you are only watching a TV show that has so much more to offer.
You don’t have to be a Comic Book geek to love this show. If you are one, then you probably are going to love this show just as much. Maybe even more than us newbies. I know my dad sounded like a little boy when he was describing the backstories to me after he watched a promo for the show yesterday. I had to cheat today to find out who was who, and he knows them all by heart. He will not be alone. I have a feeling there will be plenty of men who will become boys again tonight as they watch the series premiere of Gotham.

Then at 9p, good things come to those who wait. Sleepy Hollow is finally back!
The episode picks up a year after the season finale. Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) and Abby Mills (Nicole Beharie) are together again and they are remembering the people they loved and lost that night. For the last year, things have been quiet in Sleepy Hollow, and now they are getting noisy again because the Headless Horseman is back.
Now they have to prepare to fight him and they are ready. But are they truly up for it?
You just have to tune in to find out and for an hour of surprises after shocks followed by OMG moments, and that is only the first half of the show. You don’t want to miss Sleepy Hollow because it is anything but sleepy or hollow!
I know a lot people are saying that Thursday nights on ABC has the best pairings of shows on television this season, and they are so wrong. It’s all about Mondays on Fox because this is the best pairing of shows since I don’t know when. This is the strongest night for any network, sorry Shondaland fans but this is night that everyone will be talking about the next day.

Scorpion is as much brilliant as it is thrilling!
September 22nd, 2014 under CBS. [ Comments: none ]

Scorpion makes its brilliant debut on CBS tonight at 9p and you don’t want to miss my favorite new drama of the fall.
Walter O’Brien (Elyes Gabel) is a genius. When I say genius, I mean his IQ is higher than Albert Einstein’s is. When he was kid, he hacked into NASA and that put him on the government’s radar. They used his intelligence for something bad and ever since then he doesn’t trust them.
Today, he is working with three other geniuses but they are doing simple tasks below their brain power. Then one day a knock on their door will change everything.
Agent Cabe Gallo (Robert Patrick) is now the lead agent for the NSA and he needs Walter’s help again. Even after all of this time Walter hasn’t forgiven him, but Gallo offers his team more money than they are used to seeing so they accept his task.
On tonight’s episode, LAX updated their software and it was corrupt. Now communication is lost with all the planes landing in the LA area. All but 56 of them were rerouted, but the remaining ones are running out of gas and more importantly time. Unless Walter and his team can come up with a solution all those souls will be lost.
Walter’s team consists of Happy Quinn (Jadyn Wong), who is a mechanical wiz, and she can rewire anything and so much more. Sylvester Dodd (Ari Stidham), is a statistician that will blow your mind away with his use of numbers. Finally, there is Toby Curtis (Eddie Kaye Thomas) and he has the power to read anyone and knows what they will do. Since they are so smart, they have a hard time relating to people like you and me.
Paige Dineen (Katharine McPhee) is a waitress with a son, who is challenged. Walter, just did some work at her restaurant and now he is back with his team to save the 56 planes. She will help them come up with the solutions, when all help is lost because she is used to dealing with her son who is just like them. They will tell her that her son is a genius just like them, and they can help her understand him. She becomes their connection to the average people and they help her connect with her son.
But first she gets swept in their mission, and when I say swept up, I mean it. Gabel and McPhee take part in one of the best action sequences you will ever see on television. It is seriously genius and will have your heart pumping as fast as theirs.
If that is not a reason to watch, then the adrenaline rush you get from watching this brilliant show should be.
I fell in love with the show after the first time I saw it, and I loved it even more the second time around. It is smart, exciting and emotional all rolled into one. So what more do you need on a Monday night at 9p? Nothing, so watch it as every Monday they take on a new case since they are now working for the NSA.
Scorpion is based on Walter O’Brien and this show is inspired by his life and his high functioning brain. Really, if that doesn’t amaze you, then you will be missing out on this season’s most exciting new drama.

Is Kaley Cuoco taking a big bang in this photo?
September 22nd, 2014 under Chuck Lorre, Kaley Cuoco. [ Comments: none ]

Kaley Cuoco is one of the few celebrities who was hacked twice in the Fappening, so I am not sure if she was having fun with that fact in this photo. Which I am sure she is.
Along with the picture, she said “@taraswennenlifeinstyle helping me get ready for @thetalk_cbs. #multitasking” But what is she multitasking? Is she going to the bathroom, while getting her earrings put in? If so, ewwww. I mean, what else is she doing besides getting beautified? You tell me.
BTW The Big Bang Theory is back on CBS tonight with all new episodes at 8p for the full hour.

FOREVER and ever, you stay in my heart!
September 22nd, 2014 under ABC. [ Comments: none ]

Forever debuts on ABC tonight at 10p and this Sci-Fi procedural that is eternally great.
Dr Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd) is a medical examiner and he knows a lot about death. Not because of his job but because in the last 200 years he has died almost as many times and he doesn’t stay dead. Ever since he died, the first time, almost 2 centuries ago, he returns a few hours later, naked, in a nearby body of water. He has died in so many different ways, and that’s what makes him the foremost expert on death.
Tonight, he will die again and this time someone will take notice. That person is Detective Jo Martinez (Alana De La Garza) and she was called in to investigate the crime scene where he died, but his body is no longer there. Martinez will come to him as a cop going to see a ME, but as the case goes on she realizes he was on that train and then he wasn’t. Now she thinks he is the prime suspect, but the evidence he brings to her, clears his name. Since the evidence was so beneficial, she asks for his help to solve the crime. This will be the first of many times they will work together, and that is the premise of the show.
As of now, he doesn’t tell her his secret, but there is one guy who does know it. His roommate, Abe (Judd Hirsch), and you will find out his connection to Morgan at the end of the episode. You don’t want to miss it because it is one of the sweetest moments from all of the new fall pilots.
Sweet is a great word to describe this show. It is a Sci-Fi procedural with a lot of heart and it will win over your heart by the time the credits roll tonight. If not sooner, like it did mine.
After this week, it moves to its regularly scheduled date and time of Tuesdays at 10p on ABC.

If you are going to quit, do it like this!
September 22nd, 2014 under TV News. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1eyfE3bZZU
Charlo Greene was reporting on the Cannabis Club in Anchorage at KTVA and she told the viewers that she owns the medical marijuana business she just told them about. In fact, she then announced she was going to dedicate all of her time to getting pot legalized in Alaska.
Since she made that confession, she knew she would be out of a job. So she told the viewers, “F*ck it, I quit.” And ladies and gentlemen, that’s how you do it.
BTW her last name is perfect for her next job.
