Carla Gugino & Malin Akerman’s kiss is so hot, it needs the ALS IBC!
August 22nd, 2014 under ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. [ Comments: 1 ]

Zack Snyder challenged three of the stars of his movie Watchmen to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, and Carla Gugino & Malin Akerman accepted it by making an artsy silent movie.
It starts out with a piece of paper explaining who challenged them. Then the camera pans to the two actress passionately kissing. The kiss was so hot, they needed ice cold water poured on their heads to make them stop. It worked because they quit making out to let the people they want to make out with some ice water know that they are challenged. The names of those people were written down on a white piece of paper that they each held up as they laughed over their special moment.
Their originality earned them their own post from me and I’m sure a lot of new fans of the male persuasion.

The first five minutes from The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story!
August 22nd, 2014 under Lifetime, Saved by the Bell/City Guys. [ Comments: 2 ]

We have anxiously been waiting for months to see the beginning of The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story, and today Lifetime released the first five minutes from the telemovie.
After watching those first few minutes, it looks exactly how we knew it was going to be. It’s going to be so bad that it is like going to be like totally awesome. It is like, for sure, going to sweep the Emmys next year.
Seriously, I don’t know about you, but I’m so excited for September 1st. I can’t wait to learn even more about the lives of our favorite high schoolers from the ’90s when the cameras weren’t rolling.
Tell me I am not the only one who is doing a Jesse Spano over this movie, especially after seeing how it all starts out. I am so having a Zack attack as I type!

What’s coming up for The Simpsons this season?
August 22nd, 2014 under The Simpsons. [ Comments: none ]

In honor of FXX airing all 552 episodes of The Simpsons as we speak, here is a preview of what’s coming up on episode 553 and so on!
Recently I was on a conference call with Executive Producers, Al Jean and Matt Selman, and they told us what’s coming up for season 26.
As we know, there will be a death on the season premiere, September 28th on Fox, but we don’t know who is going to be. The first hint from Jean is the person who won’t make it to the credits is “portrayed by an actor who won an Emmy for playing that character.” Which isn’t much of one because all the lead voices have won at least an Emmy. Another clue is an outlet described the character as “iconic”, but Jean said the character is “great”. Here’s the last one for now, the name of the episode is “Clown in the Dumps”. Do you know who it is?
There will also be some crossover action coming up and it is with a show that been cancelled. Get ready for Simpsorama, that’s right Futurama is coming to Springfield.
Springfield will also take on fracking sometime in the fall, but as of the call, they didn’t know when it is going to air.
Also in the fall, we are getting a new Treehouse of Horrors episode. Jean said it is their “most ambitious Stanley Kubrick parody we’ve ever done”. The basis of it is said to be Clockwork Orange with a little Eyes Wide Shut mixed in. I am sure not the sex part, but the other parts of the horrible Tom Cruise movie. The episode will also feature a “satire of The Others, where there’s a family that’s very familiar that’s haunting the Simpson house.” The last tale is the scariest one of them all; Bart goes to private school…and thrives.
Talking about school, Bart gets a new teacher who is the opposite of the late great Mrs Krabapple. How long that teacher will last, as of now we don’t know.
When it comes to a long time, 25 years ago, a young writer by the name of Judd Apatow. Heard of him? Well, he pitched an idea for The Simpsons and it is finally happening. His idea is Homer goes to a hypnotist and he is hypnotized to believe he is 10 years old. Since mentally he is the same age as his son, Bart, the two become best friends. Jean says it is a sweet episode and they are happy to see it finally come to life.
We, the fans, continue to be happy that this show just won’t die. So here’s to episode 253 and beyond!
I hope that they will get to episode 500 and then FXX can air a month long marathon instead of just a 12 day one.

Nathan Fillion hams it up for his ID photo!
August 22nd, 2014 under ABC, Nathan Fillion. [ Comments: none ]

We know that Nathan Fillion is a little hammy and now we have photographic proof of that. While most of us look like we’re posing for a mugshot in our identification photos, Castle gets super sexy for his. Now that we have seen his studio ID picture, I wonder how he appears in his passport and driver license ones. I bet they are more like headshots than anything else.
Castle is back September 29 on ABC.

Serena Williams uses her tennis skills to break a store window!
August 22nd, 2014 under David Letterman, Sports figures. [ Comments: none ]

Serena Wiliams was on The Late Show yesterday and David Letterman challenged her to a game of tennis. Believe it or not, the CBS late night host actually kept up with the pro. Eventually, it became too much for him, so he challenged her to break Rupert Jee’s Deli’s window via serves. Dave went first, and he was unsuccessful. Next up was the US Open title winner and at first she didn’t succeed. But that window was no match for her on the second try. Wonder how she will explain that on the court, I mean, in a court of law!
