Tonight at 9p Doomsday Preppers is back on Nat Geo for a second season with two back to back episodes and I don’t know what scared me more, all of these calamities that they are prepping for or how fanatical they are about it. People all over the country are preparing themselves for things like a nuclear war, the return of Smallpox, a global financial collapse and an F-5 tornado to name a few catastrophes. They have built bunkers, started using their sh!t as a fertilizer, stocked up water and food, training themselves for attack and so on. I mean they seriously go all out to protect themselves against something that will most likely never happen. I have lived in Miami that has seen its fair share of hurricanes, Atlanta that has been hit by tons of tornadoes and LA that in known for earthquakes; and never once did I ever prepare for my environment. I think I have had (please stay in the past tense) a better chance of seeing a devastating disaster than these people, yet they are more prepared for it then I am and you probably are.
Now even though I think they are crazy, it did make me think that I need to get a plan in motion. Because even though I have a big cat, I am not sure how many days I could eat her before I ran out of food. I kid, she would eat me before I ate her.
But seriously Doomsday Preppers will really make you think. Especially when they evaluate all of these people after each of their segments. In the 6 (3 an ep) that air tonight, none of them would last longer than a year with all of the years they have been putting into their effort. But then again if they evaluated us, I bet we wouldn’t make it past a week.
Now I can’t not talk about the Preppers themselves. There is/are a single man, families, couples and even a 15 year old kid. Yes, there is a teenager who is so afraid of the world going to sh!t, he is bunkering up for it and he basically tells his mom he wouldn’t take her with him. Then there are the parents who are teaching their kids, one as young as four to shoot a gun just in case. Seriously? But there is some humor in tonight’s episodes when one of the couples tells the producers that since they shot the show, her husband and her are going through a messy divorce. In fact things are so ugly they are suing over who gets custody of the prepping stuff. Maybe they should’ve prepped for that instead? You have to tune in for the two episodes to see if you can figure out which couple it is.
And you have to tune in for a series that makes you think, am I prepared? As we all learned a few weeks ago, a lot of people were not prepared for Hurricane Sandy. You never know when a disaster is going to strike, so we need to have the necessary items to get through what may come. We need a happy medium between the Doomsday Preppers and what we are doing now and watching the show will get us there.
Jessica Lange was on Jimmy King Live yesterday and she told the ABC late night host that before she was an actress she studied Mime in Paris for many years. But then she decided there was not a great future in Mime, so she moved back to The States, studied acting, landed the job in King Kong and the rest is Hollywood History. Can you imagine what American Horror Story: Asylum would be like without her? Imagine her doing Mime in the streets of Paris instead of being held in the giant hand of an ape as he climbed the Empire State Building? I just can’t do it, it’s like am trapped in an imaginary glass box that I can’t get out of no matter how much I try.
Seriously I think that is one of the most fascinating reveals that I have ever heard a celebrity make, so I had to share it with you. I just wish that Kimmel would’ve gotten her to demonstrate some of the moves she learned in the City of Light.
Maybe now that Ryan Murphy knows her secret, he will get her to do something on the FX show? It is plausible that a lounge singer turned Nun would know Mime, right? Or better yet she could appear on Glee as a Mime teacher at NYADA who teaches Rachel the performing art. And for that episode Lea Michele is just seen, but not heard! I am loving that idea, what about you?
Family Feud has come up with some interesting questions that will lead to the contestants answering with a slang word for pen!s. And the game show has only been very creative with coming up with extremely creative nicknames for the male body organ. That is until now. When Steve Harvey asked “Name something a woman doesn’t like to see her man play with?”, one of the family members said himself. That answer was on the board, but as Herman the one-eyed German. So I have deduced that either Family Feud has run out of nicknames for the dick, cock, wiener, pecker, junk, trousers snake, private part, member, whopper, little head, schlong, prick, dong, wang, meat popsicle, baby maker, wet noodle, love muscle, johnson, anaconda, woody and/or pen!s, or they have just given up. I just hope they bring in some fresh blood soon to get them excited again about coming up with words for tallywacker soon because I need them to fill me up!
BTW WTF is a Herman the one-eyed German?
Yesterday on Late Night Jimmy Fallon made one of his audience members feel a pain he has never felt before. That’s because that poor guy was selected to play Wax On, Wax Off. The rules of the game are simple. A guy lies down without a shirt, while his soon-to-be ex friend has to answer the questions that the NBC late night host asks. For every answer he gets a wrong, the shirtless man gets a strip of wax to the chest and hair removed. Well since Fallon is evil like me, the questions are impossible to answer so hair is plucked from the poor guy’s chest over and over and over again! Really there is not much more to tell you, but to sit back and enjoy as an innocent man feels the torture us women have felt for centuries.
Well that and to watch the guy’s face when the strip is removed without any hair on it, so he has to go through it again. Oh and also to see the guy’s friend laugh every time the his now-ex-buddy got waxed.
This game proves that I am not only sadist in the world because I watch this video on nonstop 24 hours a day!
