Tonight at 8p Animal Practice makes its timeslot debut on NBC and I spoke Kym Whitley about the show. Kym plays Juanita, the nurse who pretty much runs the animal house and I talked to her about working with all of those animals. When I asked what that was like she said, “I am an animal lover. I love every single animal. Maybe not a snake. But I am definitely an animal lover.” She added, “I love training animals. So it is fun because we are blending two worlds together.” As we saw in the pilot they did have a snake on the show, so when I asked her what if they told she had to work with one what would she do. She told me the producers work with the actors to make sure they are comfortable working the animal they have chosen for them. So what it is the most interesting pet she has worked with so far? She told me, “A fox that only comes out at night.”
That had to be an experience, and what has she learned from this experience. Thus far the show has taught her, “I have had cats and I have had dogs. Pretty much you live with them and you don’t think about it because they are part of your life. Until this show, now I am like, I really got to start paying attention to my animals. Like, they can really do some things here.” Can we see her four-legged babies on the show. As of now no because she has been waiting because she “didn’t want to rush it.”
Now the big star (besides the talented and funny Kym Whitley) on the show is Crystal the Monkey and I had to find out from her, who is the biggest Diva on the set. She didn’t hesitate to tell me, “Crystal is by far the biggest Diva on the set. Crystal wants bananas, coffee in the morning, she gets her nails done, she has to have her hair combed and she takes 3 naps.” Of course she was joking. And it is her humor, the writing and the wonderfully put together ensemble that make up the enjoy Animal Practice. The NBC sitcom is so much that 4 out 5 vets recommend it, the lone hold out doesn’t have a television.
We have all seen flies do thing around the house, but have you ever seen one breakdance? Well Dustin McLean actually caught one who could back spin as good as any b-boy! That bugger was so dope that Nigel Lythgoe called him and told him he is going straight through to Vegas on next year’s So You Think You Can Dance.
Tonight is the one hour season finale of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo on TLC at 10p and it feels like it is over way too quickly. I mean we just to know all of their little quirks like the way Mama June sneezes. How can this world wide sensation be done for the season already? It is just not fair. TLC better bring them back faster than you can say Go-Go Juice or we will forget about them just as quickly as we did that couple that had all those kids and got a divorce. We want our Honey Boo Boo Child, Mama June, Sugar Bear, Pumpkin, Chubbs, Chicakadee and the baby with 3 thumbs (that makes her debut on the show) back ASAP. It is an addiction and we need our fix. And if we don’t get it, we will know what can happen if a forklift runs over a foot. Just saying, that’s all.
Jimmy Fallon has a lot of fun torturing his guests on Late Night by playing games and Kelly Ripa decided to get revenge on him for what he did to her. When she was on the show he played Rock, Paper, Scissors, Pie with her and she got a pie to her face. So today when he was on Live with Kelly and Michael she came up with a game for them to play. It was still Rock, Paper, Scissors, Shoot; but instead of pies the loser had to step under a bucket with a mystery item. Kelly lost first and had money rain down on her. Fallon lost the remaining rounds and had whale sperm, Pepto Bismol, chocolate and finally features poured down all over him. I am sure every guest that has suffered on Late Night because of what he does to him for fun, will enjoy watching this video over and over and over because she totally got revenge for all of them!
