Jennifer Lopez was on Today this morning to talk about Ice Age 3, and the anchor took the chance to ask her if she plans to return to American Idol for another season. You can tell she is wishy washy about her decision as she told Natalie Morales, “I know everybody wants that definite ‘yes’ or ‘no,’ and … all I can let you in on is my own thought process with it, because that’s where I truly am. And the truth is, I love everybody. I love all the guys on the show. I love the family that’s there. Like I said, I’ve just enjoyed it so much. But I am thinking that maybe it’s time for me to go and do other things that I really love to do.â€
Is this her way of saying she is ready to move on or is it a way for her to get more money out of Fox? Over the last week there have been rumors that the Fox singing competition is looking for new judges to replace Steven Tyler and/or Randy Jackson and/or J-Lo. But when it comes to the first two names, it seems like the network wants them replaced and they will do anything to keep J-Lo. So could she be using the press for the animated movie as a ploy to get more for her to return. I mean I can see her thinking that she is worth twice as much Britney Spears and not just $5 million more than her.
Here’s my thoughts if she is whining about taking a break from doing some of the things she enjoys to make $20 million for 6 months of work, then she should be grateful that she has all that money. So grateful that she gives it to charity. When was the last time you heard that one of these judges/hosts of these reality shows give money to charity? With all of their millions in this economy, it would be nice if they spread the wealth. J-Lo is from The Bronx, when was the last time she gave something back. I mean we all know she didn’t even go back for the Fiat commercial. Seriously what do they do with all of that money because you can’t take it with you.
Luke Bryan was given the honor of singing the National Anthem at the Baseball All-Star game. So today you would think that everyone would be saying how great his rendition was, but all people are talking about is how he wrote some of the lyrics on his hand. The singer took to Twitter to explain himself by saying, “Morning everyone. I really wanna explain the national anthem performance from last night. I had a few keys words written down to insure myself that I wouldn’t mess up. I just wanted to do my best. I promise it was from the heart. If I offended anyone with my approach I sincerely apologize. Anytime I sing the anthem it is an honor and my heart beats out of my chest. I did check my watch because I knew the stealth bomber would fly over 2 minutes in and I knew a started a little late. Being a part of the all star game was amazing and I look forward to the next time I can perform the anthem. Thanks y’all. Love ya”
You know what, I don’t think he did anything wrong. How many of you know every word of that song off the top of your head. Now imagine doing it all by yourself with millions of people watching. You would do the same thing that he did to make sure you get every word right. I am surprised more people who are given that opportunity don’t do the same thing. If I did it I would need a huge teleprompter with every word listed to make sure I don’t screw it up. And I bet you I would still miss a word or two.
Now when it comes to Bryan, I am not a fan of his for being real and not taking such an honor for granted.
XOXO DQ!!!
Before Melissa Peterman was a cashier on Working Class, she was a hooker in Fargo. She looks the same now as she did when she was 24 on in that 1996 movie. Ya, you betcha, ya.
Imagine a world where one of the worst students in movie history became the principal of another school in a film. Well that world is a reality because Judd Nelson is playing a principal in the movie Bad Kids Go To Hell that looks a lot like a horror version of The Breakfast Club. I am not sure what this movie is really about, but for some reason I really want to see it.
