Tonight at 9p on Syfy a Swamp Shark is invading the water and you are going to chomp this movie up!
When a prehistoric shark is accidentally released into the swamp, he will start killing anything and anyone who comes in his path. First to go missing are the native alligators which catch the eye of restaurant owner Rachel McDaniel (Kristy Swanson) and she wants to stop whatever is causing them to disappear. What she doesn’t realize it is a killer shark. Thankfully Charlie (DB Sweeney), a mysterious stranger has come into town and he is going to help her catch whatever the creature is. While they are looking for the Swamp Shark, he is looking for food and eating as many as humans as he can.
When Rachel’s younger sister goes out for a day trip on a boat with some tourists who came to town for Gator Fest, she will need to be rescued when the boat gets stuck and the Swamp Shark comes her way. Will Rachel get to her in time of will her sister become shark food?
Besides just the people mentioned above there is a Gator Fest coming to town and just like all the other campy summer horror movies that have come before this one, the blood hungry Swamp Shark is coming their way. Will he get his stomach fill or will they finally one up this toothy fish? Tune in for one of the bloodiest endings in a really long time.
Well that and a fun movie that will have you laughing along with it. And if you want to enjoy it even more, here is a simple drinking game: Drink every time someone is eaten by the Swam Shark. You will be sh!t faced by the end of the film if you do!!!
The reality shows on ABC this summer are going to be killer and I mean literally by the looks of the promo that aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night. With shows like WipeOut, 101 Ways to Leave a Game Show and Expedition Impossible the contestants are finding out that ABC means it when they say “No One Gets Out Live”. And you know one, I will be watching every week to see if any of them do because just like ABC I am a sadistic bastard!
Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World is coming on August 19th and it is going to stink….literally. The film is going to take the movie experience to a whole new level by adding Aromascope. What does that mean? Here is the description from the Dimension Films press release, “With each individual admission ticket, kids and parents will also receive an Aromascope card that is free of charge with easy to read numbers outlined. As the numbers flash on the movie screen the audience will rub the corresponding number on their card. When each of the 8 aromas are unleashed you will get to experience a special moment in the film and be transported into scenes in the family adventure film. This fun added attraction takes the audience beyond sight and sound and into a symphony of scents as the movie is coming to life.”
I have to admit I had no intention of seeing the SK4 when it came out, but now that they are adding Aromascope (at no extra cost to the theater goer) I so can’t wait to smell, I mean see it. Kudos to Dimension Films and Robert Rodriguez for coming up with something original to make the movie experience something more exciting. Granted I say that without knowing what those scents are. Could you imagine if we have to smell things like garbage? Pe and uw.
Peter Falk passed away last night at the 83 according to KTLA. The actor has been suffering from Alzheimer’s, but no cause of death was given.
Peter Falk will best be remembered for his role as the cigar-smoking disheveled fumbling Lt. Columbo who always solved the case in his own special way. He also had some memorable roles on the big screen like The In-Laws and The Princess Bride.
So today do “just one more thing” for him and watch one of his legendary roles and keep his spirit alive.
Carol Burnett will play Verla Grubbs one last time days before All My Children says good bye. A huge fan of the show, she made her first appearance on the show in 1983 as the long-lost daughter of Langley Wallingford. She reprised her role a year later and did a quick scene with the late Elizabeth Taylor. She returned again in 1995 to celebrate the 25th anniversary and 2005 for the 35th. Now she will be back again for a few episodes in September, but this time will be her last because that is the month the show that has been on the show for over 40 years will sign off.
I am sad to see All My Children end, but this news brought a smile to my face.
