Before Kelly Preston had a hot romance with John Travolta, she had one that really left her on fire in Metalstorm. She looks exactly the same now as she did when she was 21 in that 1983 movie.

Jake Gyllenhall was in Moscow promoting his new movie The Prince of Persia and boy did he let loose. The Oscar nominee was seen dancing and hitting on as many women as he could. When it comes to his dancing, he reminded me of a drunk uncle at a wedding during Duran Duran’s Rio but he got better when the music slowed down. Granted I think it is because he would rather be dancing with that girl horizontally as compared to vertically. So what do you think of his slick moves with the ladies and his dancing moves on the floor? I know they made me laugh!
Last week my friend Rick invited me to join him at the Lost Live: The Final Celebration and we got to see tonight’s episode at it. Almost everyone I know hated last week’s Lost episode where we learned about Jacob and the Man in Black’s history on the Island, and let me tell you will get over your anger about it by the first commercial break because tonight’s episode on ABC at 9p is that good. I will not spoil it for you, but what I will tell you is Ben is back, we will get a huge questioned answered and you will be laughing a lot. That is all I will say because the second to last episode is that f*cking good. I can’t believe it is just 5 more days until the series finale. I will be watching an east coast feed of it at my friend Rick’s because I didn’t get tickets to see it at Jimmy Kimmel Live. Where will you be watching the final two and half hours on Sunday when Lost says goodbye on ABC at 9p. And make sure to stock up on aspirin because you are going to need it.
BTW it was really awesome to see Michael Giacchino conduct the orchestra as they played his music from Lost live. It was also really cool to watch several Lost actors read the messages from the bottle. Plus it was nice that Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse told us some secrets about the show like Hurley was not an originally in the show, but JJ Abrams really wanted him on the show after he saw him on Curb Your Enthusiasm so he had him read Sawyer’s part and created Hurley for him. Considering how long Jorge Garcia has been on the show, I think he did pretty good for someone who wasn’t suppose to be there in the first place. Oh and could you imagine him as Sawyer? I sure as heck can’t.
It was a massacre over at CBS because they cancelled Ghost Whisperer, Gary Unmarried, Accidentally on Purpose, New Adventures of Old Christine, Cold Case, Numb3rs and Miami Medical, but they did renew Medium and Rules of Engagement according to The Live Feed. I don’t get why they cancelled Ghost Whisperer because I thought it was still doing well in the ratings. Maybe it was getting too expensive and they need a lot more money than they did yesterday in order to pay Charlie Sheen. On that note, I had a feeling the sitcoms were going to get the ax when Charlie agreed to stay with Two and a Half Men and they had picked up two new sitcoms yesterday. They needed to make room for the new ones, but that doesn’t mean I am OK with it. I really liked Gary and Accidentally. I didn’t watch Old Christine, but now that Modern Family and Glee are on the air I doubt that Julia Louis-Dreyfus was going to get her annual Emmy nom. When it comes to Cold Case, about freaking time. Numb3rs and Miami Medicine are not surprises. BTW did I mention how pissed I am that Ghost Whisperer got cancelled? Although the show lost its way when it killed Jim and then brought him back, it was still a great show. When it comes to Medium, I hope it finds its way again next season because it hasn’t been nearly as good on CBS as it was on NBC. And what does David Spade on the CBS execs because that is the only explanation I can come up with they renewed the show. It is there new Yes, Dear.
Now the news was better over at The CW because they picked up both One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected according to The Live Feed. There were rumors only one was coming back next season, but that is no longer the case because both of them will be back.
John Brown at KTVI in St Louis learned the hard way that doing an easy story about cute cardinals, might be harder than you think because the bird took a bite out of his thumb. While the little guy looked harmless enough, the reporter’s high-pitched screaming was anything but. I don’t think John Brown will live down screaming like a girl like that anytime soon. You know he got a lot of sh!t when he got back to station.
Same way NBC correspondent Mark Potter got a lot sh!t from his Today Show co-workers when he accidentally ate a huge a$$ bug on live TV. Yummy!
BTW back to John Brown for a second, maybe getting bit by a bird was a good thing because I saw that video on at least two network news channels, so maybe screaming like a girl might get him a national job when his contract is up…or at least a big raise? Maybe Mark Potter and him can do a story about the birds and the bees!
Gotta love live television, you never know what is going to happen!
