Before Michael Keaton was an editor for The Paper, he was a radio reporter on Maude. Didn’t the 25 year old look a lot like Donny Osmond in that 1977 episode with the gorgeous head of hair?
Fox just released this teaser trailer for Wall Street 2 aka Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps and it actually started to put me to sleep. With all the hype leading up to sequel I thought it would be better than that. If that teaser is any hint what the movie is going to be like, I am going to skip it. Actually to be honest I had no intention of seeing the movie to begin with, I thought the original movie was overrated. Actually I lied there is kind of reason why I’m tempted to see it because I want to see how many times Shia will go “No no no no no no no no no no” in the movie! If you don’t get that reference, here is a YouTube video explaining it.
When I first heard read about CBS’s Live for the Moment, I thought the concept was sick and depressing, but then I watched it and I thought it was the most inspirational show I ever watched. LFTM was described as a bucket list show for people who know they will not have much longer to live. When you read that you think the show is going to be depressing, and even though I cried at times throughout the show, I did not walk away from watching it depressed but instead I felt inspired.
Tonight’s episode at 8p features Roger Childs, a 41 year old happily married father of two sons who was diagnosed with ALS and given around 2 years to live. But instead of giving up, he is living life to the fullest. Jeff Probst and Mark Burnett teamed up with him to help him do things he has only dreamed of. They took him to Kennedy Space Center, he got a tour from Buzz Aldrin and watched a space shuttle launch with his whole family. Then he got his pilot’s license. Finally he went skiing with his best friend, something he wasn’t sure he would ever be able to do after his diagnosis. Finally his family and friends gathered for the most amazing part of the show and what happens there will inspire to change the way you live. It will make you want to do more with your life and not waste it. Roger Childs is a true inspiration and we can all learn from him, so make sure to watch his story tonight on CBS at 8p.
On a side and personal note, a few days after I watched this episode my cat got very sick and I had to make the toughest decision I ever had to make and this show helped me get through it. It made me put everything in perspective and helped me get through her death. So if that doesn’t go to show just how powerful this show is, I don’t know what will.
Thank you to CBS, Jeff Probst and Mark Burnett for doing this show and to Roger Childs and his family thank you for sharing your story with us.
Victoria Beckham was talking about her fashion line and she made a revelation that I don’t think most people will believe including Posh Spice herself. According to OK! she said, “My dresses are for women of all different shapes and sizes. Actually, the one I tried on yesterday was the one Jennifer wore…Who’d have thought I’d be the same size as Jennifer Lopez!” I didn’t think they were the same size. Afterall we saw her in that skintight bodyh suit on New Year’s Eve and she looks no where near as tiny as the Spice Girl. I wonder if J-Lo told her you can use me to market your fashion line, but you have to tell the world we are the same size.
On March 8th ABC is going to air The Bachelor’s Jason Mesnic’s wedding to his second choice Molly Malaney. The two hour special will include “include the bride’s dress fitting, planning for the big day, bachelor and bachelorette parties and the ceremony” according to The Live Feed. As if we care to see him have a happy wedding after he dumped Melissa Rycroft on television after he asked her to marry him for Molly. Seriously am I the only who would pay ABC to have Molly leave him at the alter and tell him she was leaving him for one of the other Bachelors or better yet Bachlorettes???
