Don’t throw things at Morrissey
November 8th, 2009 under Morrissey. [ Comments: none ]

So Morrissey was performing his second song in Liverpool yesterday when someone threw a bottle at him and it him on the head. He stood up afterwards, said goodbye and walked off the stage. According to NME, someone came out 15 minutes later and said that show was over because of it and they would get a full refund. I am not a fan of Morrissey’s, but even I admit that was f*cked up that someone threw a bottle at him. That there is no excuse for. I feel bad for fans that got screwed because of that one jerk!

2012: Countdown to Armageddon premieres tonight
November 8th, 2009 under National Geographic. [ Comments: none ]

If you are like me and ever since you saw the trailer for 2012 and you have been wondering what is the significance of December 21, 2012 then you are going to watch National Geographic’s 2012: Countdown to Armageddon tonight at 8p. The one hour special goes in to depth what the Mayans think is going to happen on 12/21/12 and why they specified that date. The show is a really interesting as explains what happened when the Mayans came up with that date and all that took place at that time to what is suppose to happen on that date they preditced. After watching 2012: Countdown to Armageddon I have to admit, I am scared to see 2012 in the theaters because now that I know what is predicted to happen in a little over three years, I am not sure I can handle a movie showing it. But saying that I still highly suggest watching the National Geographic show at 8p because it really explains about something we are going to be hearing a lot about over the next 3 years! It is like Y2K all over again! Let’s hope it ends the same way, with nothing happening!

Jennifer Love Hewitt shows off her stripper pole dancing moves
November 7th, 2009 under Jennifer Love Hewitt. [ Comments: 2 ]

Yesterday on Ghost Whisperer Jennifer Love Hewitt demonstrated her stripper pole moves on Ghost Whisperer and I am sure her boyfriend/co-star Jamie Kennedy isn’t the only happy she did so.
BTW Ghost Whisperer has been really good this season with addition of Melinda’s son Aiden, the shiny people and the shadows. So check it out every Friday at 8p on CBS to see how this season’s mythology plays out.

Aerosmith without Steven Tyler?
November 7th, 2009 under Aerosmith. [ Comments: 1 ]

(photo from Boston Globe)

Steven Tyler did an interview with Classic Rock Magazine and he told them, “I don’t know what I’m doing yet, but it’s definitely going to be something Steven Tyler: working on the brand of myself – Brand Tyler.” CRM wrote that quote meant that he was leaving Aerosmith. But I am not sure if that means he is really leaning the band and I am not the only one who is confused by his statement.
When Joe Perry read that he called Steven Tyler, but he has not picked up his phone or returned his calls. So he when Las Vegas Sun called him, he gave them an interview and told them that he also thinks that means that Tyler quit after being the singer of the band for almost 40 years.

“Steven quit as far as I can tell,” Perry said from his Boston home. “I don’t know anymore than you do about it. I got off the plane two nights ago. I saw online that Steven said that he was going to leave the band. I don’t know for how long, indefinitely or whatever. Other than that, I don’t know.”
Part of the problem, he says, is that Tyler doesn’t return his phone calls.
“He’s notorious for that,” Perry said. “That’s one thing I’ve learned to live with. I try to overlook it. I like to pick my battles. Frankly, the last few months I’ve been wanting not to rock the boat. I don’t want him canceling any more gigs. We really wanted to do these last four. We just kind of didn’t want to call him out or anything and get him anymore pissed off, for whatever reason. So we just let things lie. So we did the gigs and, like I said, I got off the plane and saw this online. That’s how I know about it.”

So what will Aerosmith do without the voice?

“Right now I’m adjusting to how we’re going to go on,” Perry says. “Aerosmith is such a powerful band, I mean it’s like a steam locomotive. You just can’t disregard 40 years of four guys who play together as well as they do. We’re just trying to – at least I am – trying to figure out what direction the band should take.
“As far as replacing Steve, it’s not just about that, it’s also four guys that play extremely well together, and I’m not going to see that go to waste. I really don’t know what path it’s going to take at this point, but we’ll probably find somebody else that will sing in those spots where we need a singer and then we’ll be able to move the Aerosmith up a notch, move the vibe up a notch.”

It is like Steven Tyler falls off the stage once and he goes to complete crap. I mean why quit Aerosmith after 40 years and go solo. You are too old for that.
Would you buy his solo album or go see Aerosmith without him? I wouldn’t do either because the 4 them belong together or not at all.
