Once again we were reminded just how funny Saturday Night Live is because yesterday Madonna joined Lady Gaga in a sketch that should’ve been funny, but wasn’t. It makes me long for the days when she did the classic Coffee Talk with Babs and Roseanne. That is when the show was funny.
Three Rivers premieres tonight on CBS at 9p and this is a must add show to your TV viewing! The show is about the three sides of organ donation. It tells the story of the donor, the doctor and the donee.
The show stars Alex O’Loughlin and I would be lying to you if I didn’t tell you that he is what drew to me the show. But what kept me watching is how good the show is. This is not the first show about organ donations, but this the first one I can remember that shows all the parties involved in the donation. In the first two episodes of the shows they deal with families who are not sure about donating the organs of their loved ones and some that want to donate. They deal with donors wanting a new organ and one who doesn’t. It also deals with doctors hoping they can extend someone’s life with the organs of someone else. Sometimes they will be successful and sometimes they won’t get to their patient in time.
Each episode touches your heart and all the actors on the show are excellent as they emotionally draw you in. Alex O’Loughlin is just so warm that you so want him to be your doctor and I don’t mean like that game we played as kids…although I wouldn’t not play with him! This is much different role for Katherine Moennig who is much softer than she was as Shane on The L Word, but she still has that toughness. Daniel Henney is perfect as pretending to be the emotionless doctor who really is a good guy. Christopher J. Hanke is cute as the new assistant who has doesn’t have a medical background and the staff all treat him as you would treat a substitute teacher when you were a kid.
Three Rivers is the perfect show for a Sunday night, so check it tonight and every Sunday on CBS at 9p.

For only the third time in their lives, we are getting to see Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s 14 month old twins. Brangelina are in Amman Jordan after doing some goodwill work in Syria and they took Knox and Vivienne to get ice cream out of all things. One customer who was lucky enough to be at Licky Licious (can you believe that is the name of an ice cream parlor in Jordan?) at the right time noticed and snapped that picture. How awwwdorable is Knox? He looks just like his big sister Shiloh. Too bad we weren’t able to see Vivienne’s face. Seriously how happy to Brad and Angelina look?
I think we can put those rumors that the twins are unhealthy and that is why we haven’t seen them to rest because they look OK in those pictures.
BTW in case you were wondering Brad got pecan and caramel and Angelina for Mango ice cream.
Back in August when Quentin Tarantino was promoting Inglourious Basterds, his little secret Big Gerry got out. Big Gerry is a huge purple d!ldo that he uses against his cast and crew if they fall asleep on his set. You see if he catches you with your eyes closed, he takes out Big Gerry and snaps a picture of you with the huge purple guy as seen below! Well anyways we saw the pictures and back in August when he was on MTV Canada he demonstrated on Eli Roth what would happen to you if he caught you taking a siesta on his watch. He He! For almost two months I have been looking for that video and finally today someone posted it and I totally had to share it with you.
To me the funniest part of that interview is that they blurred the d!ldo in picture with Brad Pitt and Big Gerry, but at the end of the interview the host says sh!t. What’s up with that?
BTW if I working on a QT movie, I would totally fall asleep all the time on the set just so I could enjoy Big Gerry! Joking!?!
Good to see that even though Jay Leno and David Letterman shows are no longer in direct competition, that they still hate each other. Last night Jay Leno took some time out his monologue to diss Letterman about his personal life, and you know what it was actually really funny. I think we learned from that even though Leno is on during an earlier timeslot that doesn’t mean he going to be any nicer and will go there even it is too soon!
