Mischa Barton hospitalized under a 5150?
July 16th, 2009 under Mischa Barton. [ Comments: 1 ]

Access Hollywood is reporting that Mischa Barton is hospitalized under a 5150 aka involuntary psychiatric hold. Yesterday it was reported that she was taken from her LA house at around 3p because of a unknown medical issue. Today it is alleged that the reason is a 5150 and according to that reason she could be held for a minimum of 72 hours if that is why she is there.
Mischa was suppose to be at the NY premiere of her movie Homecoming on Thursday, but has since pulled out of the appearance according to what her rep told AH. That is all the rep commented on. She is also starring The CW show The Beautiful Life and there is no word if her reported hospitalization will effect production of the show.
Hopefully she will get better soon.

America’s Got Talent’s version of Susan Boyle!!!
July 16th, 2009 under America's Got Talent, NBC. [ Comments: 5 ]

Last night on NBC’s America’s Got Talent we got to see our version of Susan Boyle, and I have to say I think that Kari Callen is even better than her!!! Kari like Susan has never been on a date and she can sing, but unlike Susan her story is so much more touching. She was born with a cleft lip and was once told she was too ugly to sing on a cruise ship, but her voice is so beautiful you overlook it! Just amazing! I hope she goes really far in this competition and everything she does because she has such an amazing spirit!!!
Next Tuesday at 9p on NBC it is the MySpace auditions and those should be really interesting and unique!!!

Cloris Leachman can stock rock a bathing suit at 83!!!
July 16th, 2009 under Admirable People, Cloris Leachman. [ Comments: 3 ]

(photo credit: In Touch Weekly / Andrew Coppa, Vis Vitae)

Cloris Leachman is 83 years young and she had the balls to pose in just a bathing suit for In Touch Weekly. Not only did the hot grandmother pose in the revealing one-piece, but she f*cking rocked it!!! Way to go Crazy Cloris!!! I guess do Dancing with the Stars paid off to give her that fabulous figure, but here is what she told the magazine is her secret to having a beach body when you are in your 80’s or at any age!

In Touch: Well, you look incredible — what’s your secret?
Cloris: It’s from making the right decisions. I always wanted to be healthy and look good. I taught myself in my mid thirties about eating right. I actually became a vegetarian at 35. Eating right really is the secret.
In Touch: What’s the best diet tip you’ve ever heard?
Cloris: Well, if you brush your teeth, you don’t want to eat something right after because your mouth feels so fresh. So brushing your teeth actually prevents you from eating until later.

I am so using the toothpaste diet, just so I can look like her because I am more than half her age and I don’t look as smoking as her! Seriously wow! Cloris Leachman is one sexy GILF!!! Gotta love her!!!
To see what other Clorisms she told In Touch Weekly, you can pick up the magazine that is on stands now. I know I am!!!

Go to The Futon Critic for the full list!

On the whole I am not in love with the Emmy noms because for the most part they went to critically acclaimed, low watched shows that air on cable or to actors who started out on the big screen. But then there was some nice surprises that had me clapping like Family Guy, Jim Parsons for The Big Bang Theory, Christina Applegate for Samantha Who?, Chandra Wilson for The Accidental Friendship, Family Guy, William Shatner and Christian Clemenson for Boston Legal, Kristin Chenoweth for Pushing Daisies, Neil Patrick Harris for How I Met Your Mother, So You Think You Can Dance’s Bleeding Love number and finally Family Guy and How I Met Your Mother for Best Comedy!!!
OMFG I would love to have been in the room when Seth MacFarlane found out that Family Guy was finally nominated for its much deserved Emmy! Can you tell how ecstatic I am that Family Guy, the little show that could, was nominated!!!!
What I also loved about this years Emmys are the names that are missing!!! Katherine Heigl, who complained that the writers didn’t write for, so when they gave her a brain tumor the Emmy voters didn’t care! Mr Mercury Poisoning Jeremy Piven was not nominated for playing himself, he must be so p!ssed!!! America Ferrera is seconds closer to her 15 minutes being up because she wasn’t nominated again for Ugly Betty!!! Hey ABC you kept Ugly Betty that got you one nom and cancelled Samantha Who?, Boston Legal and Pushing Daisies that got you 4 noms together. Maybe next time listen to us before you ax a show, we know what the Emmy voters like!!!
There are some bummers for me of people who weren’t nominated like Cat Deeley for So You Think You Can Dance, Gale Harold for Desperate Housewives (just cause I would like to see him in a tux, Bones, Rescue Me and ER for an amazing final season.
Largely because of Family Guy and Neil Patrick Harris hosting the show, I can’t wait to watch the Emmys on September 20th on CBS!!!
